I refused to take the Fosamax, Boniva, or Actonil and decided to take a good grade food-based calcium that I get at a health food store instead. It is calcium from food, so digests easily. My bone scan recently showed "significantly improved" and I now have NO osteoporosis, and only one area has osteopenia! Take CALCIUM! I have no intention of taking this drug again. my other pains are easing up, but not gone as of yet.I would suggest that any body still taking fosamax, and having these problems, stop taking it.
