1  Seasonal rhinitis Extreme anxiety, insomnia, shakiness, loss of appetite, everything that has to do with imbalanced cortisol levels. It's been 2 almost 3 since my last dose and I think my symptoms are starting to fade but I still feel jittery sometimes. Take at your own risk. Doctors will say they haven't heard but look at the reviews on here. If it happened to 2 people it can be a coincidence but all these reviews tell me there's a pattern and the culprit is Flonase. 29 7 days

1  Pollen allergies Body aches, neck and back pain, anxiety, nightmares, agitation I recently relocated to FL and began having stuffy nose, itchy throat and headaches. The pharmacy recommended Flonase. After a few days I woke up every night around 3am feeling nervous. Also, started having body aches, headaches, eye pain, neck and back pain. It took a day or so for me to realize it was the Flonase. Stopped taking it 2 days ago and slowly starting to feel better. Thought I had COVID or the flu but tested negative. This med should be pulled from then shelves today. F 46 6 days

1  Hay Fever I personally rapidly gained weight on Flonase. Gained 40 lbs this year alone... I was prescribed to use two sprays twice a day (so about 200mg per day). I was told that as I have a mold allergy, that I should use it year long. But after a few weeks of feeling better I would stop for a while… Once I got sick again I would start again. I got tired of getting sick, so I finally stuck to using it daily the past 7 months. Well I gained 40 lbs in 7 months while taking this and that's even with walking 10k steps a day at work. It makes me feel hungry and crave salty carbs all the time. When I look back at the past two and a half years and I can see the time periods I was able to lose weight or at least not gain anything, were also when I was not taking allergy medicine and Flonase. When I finally realized the connection is when my Dr was like, "Oh yeah that's known to happen bc it's a steroid and all steroids can make you gain weight. Even though it's supposed to stay local it doesn't always work like that bc it can be absorbed into the blood stream and can drip down the back of your throat" yet he never told me prior! Weight gain, pain in sinuses, they feel as though they are bruised to the touch (ct scan ruled out sinusitis), vision started to become blurry and difficult to focus eyes. F 33 2 years

1  Seasonal Allergies I began using Flonase (generic brand) on 3/20/21. At first, it seemed to provide some relief to my allergy symptoms. I was doing two pumps per nostril per the instructions. Slowly, into the next week I began feeling irritated, but just assumed it was my allergies. By Thursday, 3/25/21, I was a full on insufferable, miserable prick to anyone around me. I was beside myself with intense, internal feelings of pure rage. Everything at home annoyed me, I couldn't handle even the slightest amount of kid stress without flying off the handle. By Friday things stayed about the same... I was okay at work, but when I got home, the chaos of family would put me in a mood so bad I had to hide in the basement just to not snap at my family. Friday night I thought something was seriously wrong with my head... I thought I was losing my mind. It hurt to think, it hurt to simply exist. I've never experienced such extreme mental pain, ever. I stayed in my basement all day just to avoid being mean to my wife and kids. Sunday rolled around and I had to force myself to go to the grocery store. Got home... straight to the basement. I began back tracking "what is different in the last week that could cause what I am experiencing?"ť. I researched all my supplements for side effects and then it hit me. FLONASE. I googled around and found this website. Thank God.... I immediately felt better knowing I wasn't ju Flonase is Satan. M 38 7 days

1  Allergies Took it spring and fall for several years. Always made me jittery. Started one nostril, gradually increased. This year after 10 days I had tongue swelling went to ER. Blood tests, ekg normal. Diagnosis oral allergy syndrome. Saw NP at allergist 2 days later increased Flonase to 2x's daily. Followed instructions . Tongue continued to burn and feel swollen on one side. I used a flashlight looking at back of tongue saw lesions and abrasions. I went to family doctor who actually noted the sores. Another added allergy med. Went to dentist, she wasn't sure but might be thrush. Did x- ray. I have an inflamed/ swollen para lymph gland in jaw area?? Gave me magic mouthwash. Went to after hours clinic saw a NP that said was definitely thrush. I am on oral anti fungal for 7 days. I called my actual Allergist.... he said no way it was Flonase! I told him to look up adverse reactions on fda and Mayo. Has anyone ever had ulcers in esophagus and back of tongue from this nasty med. I was never told not to swallow. It always ran down my throat. Praying for healing. This started 22 days ago. Patients should be told exactly how to use it. Doctors should stop it immediately when hearing reactions. I had nose sores and bleeding in fall. I was told to point nozzle toward outer nostril. Should have been told that is an adverse reaction. F 64 3 years

1  to shrink adenoids Anxiety, suicidal ideations, back and neck pain, depression, severe insomnia, panic. Almost eleven years ago, at age 45, my twin took his own life because of this drug, FLONASE. He was due to get his adenoids taken out and his doctor said they needed to attempt to shrink the adenoids before he was to have the surgery which they had already scheduled. In June 2010, he started doing saline nasal rinses followed by nasal Flonase. Very quickly, there was a change in his comfort level and mental state. He started complaining about his back and neck hurting terribly and not feeling “right”. He bought a new mattress and talked with his doctor about his meds. The doctor didn’t think any of his meds would be causing my brother anxiety or distress. My brother took himself off of his blood pressure medication thinking that must be why he was feeling so horribly painful, anxious, unable to sleep and depressed. No one suspected the FLONASE! My brother ordered a couple birthday presents for family that day, he had ribs outside in his smoker that he watched throughout the day, and had talked face to face with family members and discussed doing a few things “before winter got here” and he even ordered some winter socks online that afternoon. The family left for errands. My twin went in to do his nasal rinse, which he had completed. We estimate that less than 15 minutes later, he took his own life. Six weeks of taking Flonose killed my brother. I contacted the FDA, no response. I made attempts to make others aware. I finally let it go for M 45 40 days

1  seasonal allergies, congestion Started experiencing headaches after first couple days. I thought it was still lingering affects from the allergies. After the 4th day, I woke up extremely anxious and depressed out of nowhere, intense feelings of doom, grogginess, could barely get out of bed to go to work...I have never felt this way EVER. Additionally, my body felt like it had been injected with adrenaline. Heart rate was continually high, couldn't slow it down. Had stomach aches, nausea, loss of appetite. I have never felt this way before...completely changed my body. I knew something was off and finally figured out the only lifestyle change I had made was taking the flonase. Thankfully I found this site and realized I was not alone or crazy!! Threw the bottle in the trash last night...never using again! Side effects were incredibly scary. I will stick to Advil Sinus from now on if my congestion is really bad. So scary what this innocent OTC nose spray can do to one's body and mind. Please doctors give your patients this warning before prescribing!!! F 25 5 days

1  Clogged ears 1st symptom was insomnia, thought I was out of the woods. Next day extreme anxiety and depression. Later that evening chills and body aches which led to me sleeping a couple of hours. Feels like I'm being zapped. Skin flush. Took a Covid test to ensure was not that. Came back negative. Anyone know how long these symptoms last? Had no idea that this would have more sever side effects the trailing day. Anyone else experience this? M 32 1 days

1  dustmite allergy I have been experiencing very depressing thoughts, especially at night. I feel like myself again! And honestly, I wouldn't have figured it out if I hadn't stumbled upon this website. I am so so thankful for these honest reviews! M 57 180 days
