Headaches are gone, and I don't get nausea if I eat prior to taking medicine. Any aggression is infrequent and minor, easily a function of other factors, but seems more regular than before I took medicine. Used it for another month. Quit using it and my taste and smell has never returned. I decided to go back on it today so I used it today and I recognized the awful smell in my nostrils and decided to google the side effects. I would like to know if my smell and taste will ever return. I used Flonase for about 2 yrs about 10 yrs ago. I had no problems. They must have changed the medication, because this stuff is making me gain weight because I'm trying to 'taste' and I am devastated that I can't taste or smell - but I keep trying. After ONE spray in each nostril, I had the most horrific burning sensation in my sinuses for three hours. Finally able to get to sleep and woke up in tremendous flu-like muscle and joint pain. My muscles twitched and ached relentlessly the entire next day, had to go to the ER to get a shot of anti-inflammatory. Also, woke up at 2am the second night in full anxiety attack that started in my sleep. Benadryl was the only thing that helped. Now, second day after the one dose, sitting at my desk at work the anxiety, weakness and dizziness are still here. I will never take this drug again, praying that this poison leave my system soon. I noticed the loss of taste and appetite within a day or two, followed by loss of appetite (and really, there isn't much point in eating since there is no taste). I'm not digesting food (it is coming out undigested which I have never seen or heard of before). So on top of not eating much, when I do I am in the bathroom within an hour. I have lost about 3 pounds in 6 days. All of that while I have not been doing my usual workout routine of runing 25 miles a week. I do not have the energy to run and the heart racing makes it impossible. I tried for the first time today and after 10 minutes I thought I might collapse.
