Also, had some blood after blowing nose. | I've taken flonase for roughly the past year and a half. Initially, it was a miracle drug as it prevented my constant sneezing and blowing of my nose. But I guess the onset of symptoms was slow for me. A month or so after, I would sometimes feel nervous for no reason. But it was so infrequent and mild, I didn't pay it any mind. Then I started to have mild panic attacks but never attributed it to the flonase because it was months after I started taking it. Then I started getting them often and felt extremely nervous most of the time for really no discernible reason. Sometimes, it would pass and I would feel so happy to just feel like myself. I never had any kind of mental illness in my life so I went to the Dr, he said I am having panic attacks and he gave me some anti anxiety meds, which help with the symptoms but not the cause. It got to the point where I was being crippled with anxiety almost everyday. A week or so ago, I took my daily 4 sprays then went into my living room and started a convo with my roommate and had a severe episode. This made me realize the connection. So I stopped taking the spray and the episodes started to subside immediately. It's been almost 2 weeks since I've taken it...I still feel anxiety sometimes just not nearly as severe and not constantly. I also noticed that at times I would have blurry vision. I chalked it up to just getting older (I'm 30) although I used to have perfect 20/20 vision. I've been taking Flonase for 3 months. 2 sprays in each nostril once or twice a day. It's really helped clear my sinuses and help me breathe. After one month I noticed a little wheezing and had a chest xray done at my annual physical that was normal After bout 1 1/2 months the side effects really kicked in and I had chest tightness, shortness of breath, unknow origin crying spells and anxiety. It scared the hell out of me and I ended up going to a cardiologist because I thought I was having a heart attack. All the tests were normal. I went to 2 cardiologists and neither of them paid much attention to me putting down using Claritin in my medicine history. On my own I decided to discontinue the medications and my symptoms for the most part have subsided within 4 days. I still feel slightly anxious today on day four after stopping the meds and a little dizzy, however I feel I will be back to baseline with a few days to a week. This website helped me realize I wasn't dying and it was a serious bad reaction to an allegedly safe drug. If you take Claritin, pay close attention to the side effects and if you feel them coming on slightly, stop taking it immediately. She was also on another Nasal Spray that I believe what caused her to have a heart attack and die. And She and I both was on Antibiotics, which is another horrible story. Antibiotics do kill bacteria, but they also kill the GOOD BACTERIA in your Body and that cause health problems like Fungus Infection /Candida Yeast Infection in the Body. THESE DRUGS SHOULD BE BANNED !!!!! Please WARN others about these dangerous drugs. She gave me NO WARNINGS about this medication. Two Days after I took 1 spray in each nostril per day I came down with a ANXIETY ATTACK that I have never experienced in my life time. My Heart was Racing to probably 120 bpm, my head felt like it was going to explode and I couldn't get no calmness. So then I hurried up and called the Doctor and He put me on Xanax. It did help me calm down and get some rest, but I don't recommend to get on this because it can be addictive. Well, as the week went by while being on the Xanax My heart would still keep missing a beat or it would beat 2 times real fast. It shook me up so much I had to lay down and hope and PRAY to JESUS for it to go away. It got so bad I had to call for a Ambulance to take me to the Hospital. This Happened 5 Different times in 2011 to the E.R. I thought I was going to Die everytime this happen. This has never happened to me before ever in my Life time. I haven't been to a Doctor since 1992 and haven't been in the Hospital since 1990 when I had a successful brain operation for my epilepsy and quit taking those anti depressant drugs for epilepsy.
