2  non allergic rhinitis, sinusitus ANXIETY, LOSS OF APPETITE, CHILLS, BODY ACHES, NASAL SORENESS, TEETH PAIN I was prescribed Flonase years ago but I was not consistent with it. But as years progressed I continued to have chronic sinusitis so I tried to use it diligently for the past four months. The side effects is what brought me to this forum and I swear I can relate to everything posted here. I have taken a few trips to the ER thinking that I am dying. Shakes, Body Aches, and Chills I have been tested for COVID19 several times all negative!! I am sensitive to some medications but who would have thought that a OTC nasal spray can do so much harm!! I am a nurse and I do not recommend this product. There has to be a better way. I will try an all natural approach. Good Luck Everyone F 43 4 months

1  Allergies Aching lower teeth. Occasionally upper ones. With my aching teeth and tooth ache complaints I went to my dentist who did full exam and found nothing. My GP looked up the side effects of Flonase and said 1-2 % of patients will have dental side effects. I have been off med for 8 days and no improvement. Pharmacist said side effects can linger 2 or more weeks. Been taking Tylenol. Very little relief. M 70 8 weeks

1  Sinusitis Extreme pressure in face, behind nose and in ears. Anxiety as a result of this pressure. Tight chest and heartburn. I took this drug a couple of years ago for the same thing and had the same effects. I thought I'd perhaps been imagining the symptoms of the side effects, but no. Two years later and the same side effects.I will never take this drug again. My head and particularly ears feel like the pressure will cause them to actually burst. F 49 10 days

1  Allergies Panic attacks, migraines, depression, shaking, completely debilitated. The first 3 days I took this I thought it was a wonder drug- my allergy symptoms cleared up nearly completely. After a week of miserable congestion, I could breathe! I was in a great mood, maybe a little amped up. Day 4, 2 squirts in each nose, boom- within an hour I was in a full blown panic attack- crying hysterically, can't breath, positive I'm going to die. Tell my family I'm calling 911. Thus starts the last 10 most terrifying days of my life. Luckily my mom is a nurse and was able to calm me down from my belief I was dying. As I have never had a panic attack before, we immediately talked about my starting Flonase. After having a 2nd panic attack, I stopped taking Flonase. The next two days I had debilitating headaches and depression, increased anxiety, dizziness. Have been absolutely debilitated for a week, those things are now starting to get better. After finding this (2nd) forum with repeated stories just like this, I am infuriated that these warnings are not on the label. Totally in on a class action as well if anyone ends up starting one.  1  Severe Sinus Infection Severe panic attacks, anxiety, sleeplessness, blurred vision & irritated red eyes, uncontrollable dark thoughts, loss of control, dizziness, lightheadedness, mood swings, fast to anger, nausea, tight chest, heart palpitations, sweating and shaking. Let me preface this by saying I'm not a fan of going to doctors I use it as an extreme last resort...so here goes. A month ago I had a scary moment that force me to go see a doctor and it started with a severe throbbing on the left side of my head, blurred vision and nausea. It left me rattled and forced to see a doctor, because I've never felt that before and had no idea what to make of it. Once at the doctor I was diagnosed with severe sinus infection and prescribed Azithromycin 250 mg and Zyrtec and Flonase to take all at the same time. About 4 days after starting Flonase I woke up in a panic around 2 a.m. having really awful thoughts, heavy breathing heart palpitations my mind is racing. I have no idea what was going on or what to do. I was able to get some sleep eventually 4 to 5 hours later and just thought it was a one-time thing and didn't think much of it. Four days later I just got done working out took my medication and within 15 minutes I had a a full onset of shaking sweating my heart was racing I had horrible thoughts about doing something to myself and or others and was in some type of tunnel with a loss of control I felt like I was going to die. I looked up symptoms because I've never had this before and they all pointed to a severe panic attack. I talked to my husband and told him I was very worried about the thoughts I was having that I've never had before and I really just thought maybe this whole pandemic was finally getting to me but really didn't think F 41 15 days

1  Post Nasal Drip Took flonase SENSIMIST, and my post nasal drip symptoms never really got better. Towards the evening I started feeling terrible anxiety, felt shaky, and nervous. Honestly thought I was having a heart attack after googling these random symptoms that came out of nowhere. I woke my gf in the middle of the night to ask her what could possibly be going on. She then reminded me of the Flonase. I found this forum, and I am having the exact same symptoms as everyone else here. It has been over a month since using this products and I am still experiencing these side effects albeit not as harsh as the first initial night. I highly advise against taking this product. The flonase website will lead you to believe that these symptoms are rare, but after reading the experiences of others and myself the side effects are 1000% accurate!!! I am very surprised some type of class action lawsuit hasnt been filed. The side effects eveyone is talking about are long lasting, and I am not reall DO NOT TAKE THIS PRODUCT!!!!!! M 37 1 days

1  Allergies Anxiety, panic attacks, horrible insomnia, cold chills I started taking this around the 1st if July. In the middle of July I started waking up with a racing heart on some nights and horrible insomnia. This continues for almost a month and even resulted in an ER visit. When I realized that the spray was a steroid I immediately stopped taking it. I did sleep better last night but my heart rate is still spiking. I really hope everyone is correct about the symptoms going away after a couple of weeks. I will never take this stuff again. F 48 47 days

1  Allergies IT GETS BETTER!! I'm following up from my first post on 5/24/2020 here to give some hope to everyone else that is struggling with this. While it's hell now, it absolutely gets better. HANG IN THERE. Anxiety broke after about 3 weeks with regular use of a high quality CBD 2x a day, Olly sleep gummies, Ashwagandha at night, supergreens + vitamins, with a goal to get tons of sleep and manage my anxiety (meditation is invaluable too). Don't let this drug make you feel like you're permanently ruined. As of this moment I'm completely back to normal mentally and emotionally. Take it one day at a time. Seriously though, can we get a class action suit against Flonase going? M 34 8 days

1  Seasonal Allergies DO NOT TAKE THIS! If you care about your sanity don't take it. Also, if you've ever experienced anxiety don't take it. If you're sensitive to steroids or medications at all do not take it. With that being said - let's get into it. If you've already taken it and happened upon these reviews. I also had anxiety, insomnia, restlessness, panic, fear, dread. On top of physical symptoms when I stopped taking it. Pain, insomnia, anxiety, tingling, heart burn, and chest pains. It's been almost 7 weeks now, things GET BETTER, over time don't give up hope. Most things have dwindled down. Things that help during the process are doing yoga daily, breathing exercises, walks daily /sometimes twice, take magnesium “Natural Calm” supplement. It really helps, take that day and night until you're all the way better. L glutamine helps too if you're having any pains. If you have heartburn obviously take something for that. It does happen. Doctors will help you to treat symptoms but they won't believe that this is what it's from. IT IS though, it's not something else, it happened all of us. Look up side effects to corticosteroids if you need back up for research or something, Also, your cortisol is most likely high. Also, I would suggest something someone else on here said, don't talk about it as much to family and friends. That way you'll forget a little about it and start to get better. Don't worry it'll pass just let time and get ahead of it sign up for CBT to deal with some of the symptoms in the meantime. This turned my life upside down. Do not use it. If anybody is doing a class action suit let me know. Everyone else there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I've reached out to so many people and a lot of people have recovered! Some recover super fast, but have patience with yourself! The more patience you have with yourself on the hard days the faster you'll actually end up better. :-) F 32 9 days

1  Allergies Horrible anxiety, insomnia, depression, and mood swings. I left reviews on flonase.com but they conveniently got deleted after a few days................ I had to get on an antidepressant to deal with what this BS did to my body. And take a sedative to sleep at night. Unbelievable this sh*t is being sold at all. The makers of flonase have to know it can do this to people. Just evil. F 30 21 days

1  Allergic rhinitis Developed severe tics, throat clearing and what I call a super sniffle. He sniffles like his nose is running every 20 or 30 seconds. Wet or pooped his pants but he is getting better 5 days after discontinuing usage. So many doctors said the dosage (1 time in each nostril once a day) was too low to cause problems. This stuff affected my son'sbody like pure poison. He got hyperactive a few hours after the first dose and turned into a nervous wreck for days after. Messed him up so bad I was recommended to a pediatric neurologist. As time goes by he seems better and his vocal tics and shoulder shrugs caused by the medicine seem to be abating in intensity and frequency. Hopefully he gets better day by day but I am so disheartened and distrustful of doctors after how they insist it's not the medicine. Avoid this poison. M 5 4 days

1  Allergies Started taking this the first week of June, within a week I had terrible insomnia and was given Ambien by my doctor and I'd sleep for a few hours and feel crazy all day so I stopped taking it. Soon I was having horrible anxiety and constantly upset and angry. The doc told me the cause of my insomnia was likely allergies. So I kept using Flonase until a week ago when I started looking up symptoms and found this thread. I've been off it for a week now and I'm starting to improve but still dealing with insomnia and anxiety. I've also lost about ten pounds this week. Bad stuff, stay away from it. Does anyone know how long I should expect to deal with these side effects? M 37 2 months

1  Persistent cough/allergies Like many others, I thought I was going crazy with all the symptoms I was experiencing while (and after) taking this medication. I even went to the doctors twice and had labs done. I started Flonase for a cough that wouldnt go away, one spray in each nose everyday for 7 days. While it did clear up my cough after about a week, the side effects were not worth it! While taking it, I experienced: headaches, vertigo, vivid dreams, sleepiness and major heartburn/chest tightness (which is the main reason I stopped taking it). After three days of stopping the medication, my heartburn/chest pain improved. However, I am now experiencing what I am thinking are the withdrawal effects: tingling in my legs and arms and then itchiness in those same areas, tooth/gum ache, insomnia-will fall asleep but wake up shortly after, anxiety, fatigue, rapid heart rate (100 resting), high bp, jitteriness, cold sweats up my back and neck, pressure in my neck and head/face (a feeling of fullness/tightness) I have never experienced anything like this and will never take Flonase again, especially since I am sensitive to most medications. I will try and remember to do a follow up review with an update on my symptoms in a few weeks if I remember. F 35 7 days

1  Allergy Anxiety, aggresivity, full of negative thoughts, depression, headache, stomach pain First,I have to say that I have a healthy lifestyle and I was satisfied with my routine. After 4 days of using it,my allergy symptoms went to zero. I was surprised. After 2 weeks, the things started to change. I started having daily anxiety, almost daily headaches, stomach pain sometimes, aggresivity, feeling like don't want to do nothing all day, everyday and a pressure in my head with negative toughts. I even had suicidal toughts from nowhere even if I was happy with my life. But my life changed,I was pretty upset everyday and I even quit gym after 8 years of daily going.I used it for 6 weeks and then my girlfriend said me about how I changed and asked me if this medicine could do this because I wasn't taking anything else.I decided to stop it to see what happens. I have 1 week without it and things are getting better day by day but I have to say that from the first day without Flonase, the pressure with negative thoughts from my head went away. My mind is clear,I feel normal,I start going to gym again and all the things start to be better.I think doctors and the manufacturer don't say about these side effects because they affect only a small percentage of people and If they will put them on the list or the doctor will admit that is possible to have these side effects from Flonase, people won't take the risk to buy it even if most of them won't have problems using it. So they will lose a lot of money and the doctors are on their side. M 25 6 weeks

3  sinus issues / allergies Major anxiety and aggression. Literally any time anyone bothers me in the slightest I go from 0 to 100 with increased heart rate and extreme anger/terror. Deep breaths make me feel light headed and disoriented. This is immediately after 1 use. I does each nostril. Also taking Singulair but have only had 1 dose as well. I have used inthe past and had very mild anxiety as a reaction. THis is a whole 'nother world of side effect. M 1 times
