1  Sinus Issues This was an awful experience for me. It did help my sinuses clear up but the side effects were dreadful. I'm super healthy and after a couple weeks I noticed my muscles aching throughout my back, arms and legs. In addition, I have been tired even while getting enough sleep. I also had some of the foggy brain issue that many have mentioned. I usually have tremendous energy and this stuff made me feel like I could continually sleep. Performance everywhere has suffered for 6 weeks until I figured out it was this drug. I thought it was just a sinus issue but it is not. Ugh! Live and learn... to me this stuff is the devil. 3 days off Flonase and my muscle ache is down about 80 percent and the fog is clearing and my energy is up but not back to full. My guess is that it will be a good 2 weeks plus before it is completely out of my system and I'm back to normal. I'm thankful I figured this out in 2 months and not in 2 years or more. M 46 60 days

1  Seasoal allergies Vertigo, and SLEEPWALKING of all things! My vertigo was terrible, at times I could barely stand without holding onto something. Thought a diabetic rat had moved into the house. Alas, it was just me sleepwalking and urinating in random corners of the house. Would never use this product again. M 57 4 months

1  Nasal congestion Weakened immune system, frequent infections, non healing wounds, severe digestion problems from bacterial overgrowth. This is a terrible drug which should not be prescribed let alone sold over the counter. It only helped marginally with my nasal congestion. There were no warnings on the label or from my doctor for any of the side effects I experienced. I was not taking any other medications at the time. M 37 1 years

1  Coughing, sneezing, thick phlegm - Used Flonase Spray 50 mcg - once per day - for a week. 6/10/2015 - have lost sense of taste and smell. still coughing, Phlegm etc. - discontinued using Flonase Spray. 6/21/2015 - have still lost sense of taste and smell - coughing has stopped. - Can taste limited sweet - sour - Although it helped me in the sort term with opening air passages - the long - term effects deem this medication undesirable. I would recommend against it. As of now, I am concerned whether I will ever regain my sense of taste and smell. M 77 1 weeks

1  Sinus congestion Debilitating headache in the morning, dizziness, blurred vision, shortness of breath when taking a shower, delayed periods, loss of appetite, pain in left ear/around left eyes/left jaw joint.... Will never take it again The same thing happened to me in 2008. Went to the ER for debilitating headache attacking me in my sleep and lasting for at least 5-6hours. Doctors never made the link and put me on Lyrica for neurological dysfunction. I stopped taking Flonase and it went away. I never ,ace the link until finding this page today.... F 30 9 days

3  allergies all of a sudden I was "starving" for air, couldn't get a good breath. I would have to yawn to get air. made me very sleepy. Dr. said anxiety and put me on meds, didn't help so went to another dr., he said I had bronchitis and gave me meds. I literally thought I was going to die because I couldn't get enough air. I quit using the Flonase because my sinuses were better and the problem went away too but I didn't put the two together. I just started using it again and shortness of breath and "starving" for air is back. I'm done. The first time maybe a month or two. This time a few weeks. F 43

3  Nasal allergies After reading countless reviews on here of others side effects, I'd have to agree with the fact that flonase is very potent.I began this med back in November and noticed no immediate side effects. Until about a month in I began noticing an increase in my anxiety. My heart felt off like it wasn't beating normally. I begin to also experience dizzy spells and increased sinus pressure. Don't get me wrong this stuff works for what it claims it does and did clear me up. The side effects however are not worth it. I stopped taking it then gave it another shot and continued to experience the same side effects. It also makes me feel jumpy and foggy. I will never take this med again. M 29 6 months

3  seasonal allergies Swollen tonsils covered in white patches and puss, progressing to swollen throat and sore throbbing jaw, fever and body aches Flonase worked great on my allergy symptoms for the first few days, but I noticed I would have a sore throat off and on throughout the day. On day 4 I woke up with a fever and saw white patches on my tonsils. I made a doctor's appt to be tested for strep and thrush, but the tests came back negative. The Dr put me on Penicilin to try to clear up whatever the white patches on my tonsils were. I used Flonase one more time the next day and the symptoms greatly increased. It got to the point that I could not eat or speak, the pain and swelling were so bad. The Dr upped my prescription to 2 new antibiotics and a pain killer and with those and not using Flonase for a week the symptoms finally started to go away. F 34 5 days

1  post nasal drip and allergies Sore nose; wheezing, shortness of breath, indigestion, muscle spasm in legs, blood in mucous. Did not realize it was the flonase causing the problems. Will never use this again. Wish I had read all the side effects before starting it. Decided to stop about a week ago, am now feeling somewhat anxious also. Sleep is interrupted at night, still coughing a little, still some tightness and shortness of breath. Does anyone know how long before returning to normal. it is now like coming off a steroid tough pharmacist said there wouldn't be any problem stopping it. F 61 7 months

4  allergies SEVERE insomnia for the entire week I was taking flonase at the beginning recommended dose of 2 sprays each nostril per day. This is definitely the flonase, as I stopped taking it for a week to test, and my insomnia stopped. Started taking it again, the insomnia started up again (we're talking SO severe I'd literally be awake all night, and fall asleep 2 hours before I had to wake up. For a whole WEEK!!) Flonase has been the first allergy med I've found that WORKS but doesn't make me feel drowsy, shaky, anxious or drugged like every pill type does. It breaks my heart that it's been causing insomnia. I wonder if they changed they're recipe when they went OTC? I dont remember having insomnia when I first used prescription flonase a few years ago. F 39 2 weeks
