| 2 | birth control/cycle regulation | irritability/anxiety/depression, loss of libido, could not orgasm, longer and heavier period than before | the only good thing about this pill was that I lost about five pounds in three weeks. i was feeling alternately cranky and depressed within a couple of days of starting this pill. and i was "not in the mood" when my long distance boyfriend came for a visit, and i couldn't climax. i didn't figure out that it was this pill until I read several comments on this site. i went back to my provider and she said that i should definitely no longer be on this pill. she suggested nuvaring which i will try. it has a much lower dose of hormones and you only have to deal with it once a month. | F | 26 | 3 weeks | 10/21/2005 | 1 | birth control | Almost complete LOSS OF SEX DRIVE! I could not eat, I didn't want to have anything to do with my family and I could barely function at work. At the lowest point I was on the verge of suicide. I know that this is most likely the worst case scenario for side effects, but if what I went through could help one person it is worth posting it. At my lowest point I was put on several medicines for depression that didn't help, but finally found Effexor and Ativan that helped tremendously.
