| 2 | birth control/regulation of period | Well I'm on my 2nd pill of my 3rd week and I am virtually having a pre-period...more than spotting, less than a full-on cycle. I had the startings of the brown spotting last week and it's gotten progressively worse into a regular bleeding. I am a college student. Handling all the stresses of school and friends and exams is not easy, but then being on yasmin has made everything ten times harder. I cry OVER EVERYETHING, I can't stop crying, I'm always sad, for no reason, im depressed, unable to concentrate and I'm always tired for no reason because i get 8 hrs of sleep a night, I've been having heart palpatations too. Yasmin is the worst thing ever and I can't bleieve my doctor gave me this pill. I'm so upset I didnt do this reseach sooner...please save yourself and DO NOT TAKE YASMIN, it is awful, i just stopped and i'm still haveing all the side effects minus the naseous but the depression and anxiety is worse. i dont know when it will get out of my system. | F | 19 | 3 months | 11/5/2006 | 1 | ovarian cyst/birth control | I am on Yaz the lower dose of Yasmin. The first week i did not see any side effects at all. By the second week, i could not stop urinating, was waking up 3 times a night just to go to the bathroom. It felt like something was sitting on my bladder all the time. Also the second week started having severe stomach cramping on left side. Constipation which became really bad. Have terrible gastatic pains which i never had before. Lower back pains. My period only lasted 3 days but the firt day the cramping was so bad, I felt like someone was stabbing me in my uterus. By the fourth week i was ready to be put in an mental institution. The anxiety and depression hit so bad I cracked in my doctors office. By the time I had started the 2nd pack I had lost almost 5lbs which is not a good thing for me, I am only in the low 90's to begin with, now I am 88lbs. I am exhauted, I never had a problem with sleep, now I have insomnia. I start to fall asleep and then my body jerks all night, I never | I stopped the pill exactly a week ago. The urinating has started to taper off. I am still suffering from anxiety and constipation. I went to a GI specialist and she said all the symptoms I mentioned are related to the pill. I am going for blood work to check everything out just to be sure but all my problmes started about a week or 2 of starting the pill. She said that it will take a couple of weeks to get out of my system. I can't wait for it to get out of my body, i think i will go back on Aleese. For people who are low in weight I don't suggest this pill at all. It definetly causes weight loss and a loss of water. Also for people who suffer from anxiety. I've had vaginal pain for over two weeks without any real reasoning other then Yasmin. I thought it would just heal up on it's own, I never had problems like this on Ortho-tri-cyclen or any other pill i took. My acne was about normal on the other pills too so i didn't see any great improvement. I have been a mess emotionally for months and I know it's not normal for me at all to be so emotional over nothing.
