While off bc I would have uncontrollable severe crying attacks right before my period. Decided to go back on bc; Dr. prescribed Yasmin to "help with the mood swings" rather than my trusted Demulin which I had been on for 10+ years. On Yasmin I gained weight, had a terrible headache for about one solid week each month, total loss of libido, and, instead of crying fits have just been in a constant state of mild depression. Also, last month, my primary care physician (not the obgyn who prescribed it) said he was "concerned" because my period was happening at a different time than when it should (not during the white pills, but during week after them). It started about the 3rd day after taking this pill. By some freak coincidence, I got the flu about the same time. Had many, many blood tests run, and a gallbladder sonagram, as well as visting a G.I. doc, everything came back normal, couldn't believe it, I felt like I was dying!
