| 3 | mild pms symptoms, heavy flow | i've been taking it over 3 years. and at first it was super! lost weight, bigger boobs, clearer skin. The beginning was the best, I had a about a 10-15 lb weight loss. Then the depression started along with the fatigue and anxiety, and I have now gained the weight back. I did not want to do anything cook, clean, study, or work. I was a complete mess. Before my period starts I always get terrible migraines. I hate that it makes me feel so gloomy and miserable. I have been cold to the point of shaking several times and have been taken hot baths just to warm up twice a day. Satisfied for 5 years. | Don't be too quick to attribute all your health problems to Yasmin, especially those of you who have only been on it for a few months or weeks. Any birth control takes time for your body to get used to; you just have to wait it out. Your health problems could definitely be caused by something else. Breast enlargement, clear skin, no yeast infections, and shorter periods and less cramps. I guess it works differently on everyone. I would recommend it. | F | 33 | 5 years | 2/21/2008 | 5 | Birth Control | Minor Migraines but if I take advil at the beginning of Aura I only get pain for 20 mins. | I was on Ortho try-cyclen low and it made me crazy - moodiness, depressed, etc etc. Yasmin has been great with my mood and I noticed a huge difference between in PMS while not on the pill to being on Yasmin (I am much less moody and depressed...if at all). I used to have awful cramps (couldn't leave the house) and its much better now. I used to get my period for a week, very heavy, every 3 weeks, now I have it for 4 days and it is much lighter. By looking at this site, I've decided that others have shared my misery.I'm calling my provider Monday as soon as they open to get something else. For a drug that advertises that one should have the opposite affect, this has been a miserable 5 months, YAZ yeah right! You know yourself, how you normally are, if you notice a change for worse, try a different pill. Don't suffer blaming your side effects on outside sources. And now after two years I finally felt like myself again. Yasmin gave me crazy head ached, anxiety, and intense emotional moods swings for no reason. My friends though I was loosing it. Now Ive been on [b]Femcon[/b] for 6 months and its amazing. Theres no weight gain, my skin looks totally amazing and clear, plus I didn't experience any breakthrough bleeding. In general, you going to want to stick to monophonic pills not triphasic (ortho tricyclen triphasil). The monophonic pill lead to less breakthrough bleeding and estrogenic side effects like mood swing and breast tenderness. I have also heard its the best for womans with PSOC and its side effects. I think [b]Femcon[/b] is the miracle pill! Plus my breast grew one full cup size with no weight | F | 27 | 2 years | 2/13/2008 | 4 | Acne, Birth control | This was the ONLY medicine out of 12 that I had previously tried that actually cleared up my acne. Helps a great deal with PMS, Cramps. I also have shorter lighter periods. Good for prevented pregnancy thus far. HOWEVER, I am almost constantly nasueated, and am suffering from extreme fatigue. Been to several specialist who have confirmed its the birth control.
