No weight gain, clear skin, decreased sex drive, orgasm?=impossible to reach | I was on YAZ and I switched to Yasmin because I was having breakthrough bleeding. Yasmin stopped my breakthrough bleeding and cleared up my skin, but has put my relationship in jeopardy because it makes me go from 0 to 60 in 3.5! and that is not a good thing. I am very sensitive emotional and irritable one week before my period. Yasmin is not good. I've never had fat on my tummy before, and now I look pregant. It is soo discouraging .. trying to lose weight so bad, and the scale won't budge.. or even worse I gain weight week after week.. Yasmin for me was unbearable by day 3- and while we're told we have to "put up" with side effects for up to 3 MONTHS, when I am responsible for others (eg children) as an adult, I could not afford the extreme nausea, light headedness and dizziness that resulted from Yasmin. It was such a relief to know I was not really sick or losing my mind! The doctors and drug companies don't care, they will just prescribe you something else to treat the problems the Pill caused. I will never ever go back to this pill, or any other hormonal birth control, they are all serious drugs, and just not worth it!! I just think I may have stumbled onto all of the health problems I have been experiencing for the past 12 - 18 months. My heart pulpatations have been so bad that I was recently perscribed a 24 hour monitor to detect whether or not I have any heart problems. Not to mention the extreme anxiety! My doctor even tried perscribing anti depressant medication. However, I refused to beleive that I have any metal stability problems. In addition, I ceased going to the gym last november after going on a daily basis for four years as fatigue and willingness to do nothing had increased dramatically. After reading the postings on this website yesterday and thinking long and hard about my increasing health problems and the duration of the symptoms it can only be the pill, yasmin that is causing it. As I am on no other medications and the health problems only started after comencing this pill. I have ceased taking this pill and will post an update in one months time.
