5 | Rheumatoid Arthritis | Stinging at injection site | This is the most amazing drug ever. I was practically immobile and in so much constant pain. After the second shot I felt like a new person. I've lost 90 pounds, can run after my kids and play violin again. | F | 35 | 3 years | 7/10/2009 | 1 | rheumatoid arthritis | Pustular psoriasis including the awful skin "rash" all over, hair loss, constant itching, cracked palms and feet, and it looks like I'm going to lose some fingernails. | It did keep the RA under control while I used it. | F | 53 | 10 months | 7/9/2009 | 4 | Ulcerative colitis | Brain fog and lack of energy | Although I have increased the med to 1 dose per week, it still has not put me into complete remission. As a result, I am taking 15mg of prednisone..... perhaps this drug is adding to my feeling of low energy. | M | 13 months | 6/29/2009 | 2 | Crohn's | After a couple of weeks I noticed light joint and muscle pain that could also lead to cramps in feet and hands. During the period of using Humira I had a couple of days with extreme headaches (I very rarely have headaches and they are very mild). | I started taking Humira around six weeeks after I was diagnosed with Crohn's. A month after starting the Humira treatment all the symptoms returned, maybe ever worse. So I guess that it's just not working for me. I initially started with Prednisone with worked pretty well in reducing the symptoms until I was pain-free and could eat again. I phased out of the Prednisone and continued with the Humira. I really had a lot of hope and confidence and was willing to cope with the side-effects. However, Humira did nothing for me. | M | 35 | 4 weeks | 6/29/2009 | 4 | ra | my right side aches constantly | M | 6 weeks | 6/28/2009 | 4 | Crohn's | _Extreme_ pain at injection site which gradually fades over 4-6 hours. persistent headache for 24 hours after injection. increased rate of infection (I've had mononucleosis twice, second time was severe - went on steroids for swelling and percocet for pain; couldn't swallow at all). | along with medicinal marijuana has kept my Crohn's in almost complete remission since January 2007. prior to going on humira i was on remicade until I developed antibodies against it. From the age of 12 (when I was diagnosed) until age 18 I was hospitalised at least once per year because of my Crohn's. Since going on humira i have not been hospitalised. | M | 20 | 2.5 years | 6/15/2009 | 3 | Crohn's | Injection site irratation, very low energy, feeling of depression, numbing and tingling in legs and feet, joint pain in knees, dizzyness, and nausea. I just have not been feeling myself for a while now. Cloudy thoughts... | Although Humira has helped my crohn's, I am very concerned about the side effects. | M | 32 | 21 months | 6/15/2009 | 5 | Psoriasis | Pain in feet (soles of feet) in the morning. | 100% clear after taking for 3 months. Love this drug. | M | 40 | 9 months | 6/9/2009 | 2 | crohn's disease | breathlessness, extreme fatigue, mood changes, lack of concentration, memory loss, muscle weakness, nausea, "full" abdomen. | F | 25 | 2 years | 6/5/2009 | 3 | Rheumatoid Arthritis | I've been on Humira for 7 months. Previously I was on Enbrel for 4 years,it became ineffective. With Humira, big welts at injection site. Also, I recently developed MRSA(very painful) skin infection on my leg. I never had infections with Enbrel. And alot of fever blisters on my mouth with Humira..my doctor ordered Valtrex once a day and they are gone. However Humira is helping my RA very little joint pain. I'm staying on it a while longer and see if these infections stop | F | 45 | 7 months | 6/3/2009 | 3 | Psoriasis | Was on Raptiva until March, when it was taken off market and had almost no psoriasis, bits on the head only. Had been clear for almost 5 years. Was put on Enbrel in March. Psoriasis started to come back on sclap but biggest problem was the rash and the itch. Rash from head to hip. had to be put on steroids and antihistimes. Put on Humira last week. Psoriasis now on head, arms, back. | Have had head cold since Sunday. Feeling exhausted. have to wait and see how it goes. | F | 35 | 5 days | 5/19/2009 | 5 | Psoriasis | up to now, no side effects and it seems to be working well | I have to take the anti TB tablets for 3 months due to having latent TB, but I am having no problems at the moment, my skin was in a terrible state, I was covered and very very sore, so it is great to be clear | F | 58 | 6 weeks | 5/15/2009 | 5 | Crohn's colitis | Occasional injection site reaction (mild), ocassional joint stiffness | This is a follow up to my posting 4/08. It is still working great for me...my hair loss stopped after about 3 months (thank goodness!) and is growing back. The joint stiffness is less frequent and very tolerable...so I guess like the doctor said, my body had to get used to it. I have been very healthy and feel great overall like I don't even have crohns anymore...I hope it lasts! | F | 35 | 15 months | 5/15/2009 | 4 | Moderate to Severe Plaque Psoriasis | Injection site reaction, fatigue, headaches. I just recently developed pain in my right hip that radiates down to my knee. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. | Had helped my psoriasis considerably. I am a little worried about all of the possible side effects thought. | F | 24 | 1 years | 5/15/2009 | 5 | rheumatoid arthritis | I began taking Humira in September,2008. Toward the end of the year I entered my rating and listed a problem I was having:spots appearing on the front of my legs, and the beginning of it spreading on my body. I heard from several of you indicating it might be psoriasis. I went to a dermatologist who confirmed your diagnosis! And funny thing, I had forgotten that my Dad had psoriasis. The dermatologist suggested that instead of rheumatoid arthritis, it might be psoriastic arthritis. He is having me continue taking Humira. I use triamcinolone acetonide cream usp, 0,1%, on my legs, which has cleared them up, and a non'perfumed lotion on the rest of my body to counteract the dry air experienced in my part of the country. I administer the shots every 2 weeks and am doing well with them. My largest area of pain had been in my hands, and they are doing much better. My skin has become much healthier, and the woman I have giving me massages tells me she can feel a big difference in the bone are | For me Humira is doing its job, giving me the ability to lead my life pain-free, enjoying my paper art hobbies. | F | 69 | 8 months | 5/11/2009 | 3 | RA | i was taking Enbrel before and thought the drug stopped working so my doctor switched me to Humira, the drug seems to be working to an extent but i am still in so much pain in my legs at night. it seems to me that i have been not acting like myself and about the whole wait gain/loss i just had a baby and have 10 pounds to go until all the weight is off. sinc ei started the drug it does not matter how little i eat i cant seem to loose any weight. i will give the drug a little bit longer but i might ask to be put back on enbrel. i also have has a mouth sore that wont go away since i started | F | 24 | | 5/8/2009 | 1 | Dr. said | Well said reviewer on 12/3/2008. | | 5/2/2009 | 3 | RA | Sore throats and cold sores in my mouth, blisters on my skin - not severe, liveable. The sore throats are continuos and are really getting to me. I have a pain in my right thigh, I never thought it was related to Humira but maybe it is. | F | 45 | 16 months | 4/29/2009 | 2 | RA | Developed rash over whole body 13 days after first injection. | Was on Enbrel previously, which worked great, but lost effectiveness 4 years after starting it. Switching now to Remicade. | F | 39 | 13 days | 4/28/2009 | 3 | Crohn's Disease | Mental fogginess, hard to concentrate, always tired, acne, extreme weight gain of 50 pounds, joint pain, high blood pressure | I've had Crohn's for almost 40 years. I had an adverse reaction to Remicade and everything else except for steroids was useless. Humira has worked well on the Crohn's but I'm not very happy about all of the other side effects. My doctor just blows off the side effects, saying that once you go off it, you build resistance and can't take it again. I continue to take it, even though I am very concerned about whether the side effects will eventually be worse than the Crohn's. | M | 52 | 9 months | 4/25/2009 |
