| 5 | Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis | Very hard injection to take especially on legs, even with using ice beforehand.Short Term Memory seems to be disimproving,localised swelling on injection site, fatigued for a day or two after injecting. | Had psoriasis since I was 7, nearly 40 years now, went through every possible treatment, some good, some bad. Vision problems, constantly having to close my eye to "re-adjust" them. Left eye waters constantly. Weight gain. I have the lapband, so I shouldn't be gaining weight, but in the last 4 months I've gained about 15 pounds, and the Humira is the only thing that has changed in my life. Left leg seems to be retaining alot of water, visibly more swollen than the right. I have one spot on my back that itches intensely, but I can't scratch it enough to make the itching stop. It's like it's numb to touch, but still itches. I also have a cough that's pretty much always there, but doesn't get worse. Not a bad cough though, just noticed it's new. | Painwise, the Humira has helped some. But I still have pain/stiffness in my hands everyday. A couple days before my injection is due, I'm exhausted. For the first time, I had no psoriasis on my scalp or anywhere. It was wonderful. Reach my first year as of June 11, 2011 free and clear, I am so happy, but my nightmare are just starting. Since my last injection of Humira, on July 1, 2011, I experienced extreme muscle-skeletal joint pain. More of those pains rotate from different locations, e.g. foot arch, toes, knees, ankles, jaw, wrist, chest, elbows, neck, fingers, forearm, thighs and back. Other symptoms like ringing in my ears, stiffness of muscles, cracking in joints and it itches everywhere. I am a very active person, take motion away from me is even more painful then having psoriasis, but as of today, those sports I played seize to stop in my life. Someday, pain level is so overwhelming… can’t even move. | It's only been about a month and a half, symptoms of Psoriasis are appearing again, in red tiny dots and started to developing into small patch, PLUS the PAIN. My skin is horribly dry everywhere & have bumps all over my body. Some are red like insect bites & others white bumps that are very dry. I also have very dry mouth, severe sinus infections & sores inside my nose constantly. When I started taking the Humira, it seemed to really have helped but now I am having more & more flare ups and all these side effects. I am headed back to Mayo Clinic soon & I am hoping that they take me off of it & try something new. | I was previously on Remicade for 3 yrs however, was having alot of issues with blood loss, anemia & shortness of breath, even had to go on oxygen for awhile. I have been experiencing severe itching on a certain area of my back within the last couple of months and within the last month I have been having what looks like sever insect bites, some of which become really inflamed. New ones show up nearly everyday. I would say that I have no less than 15-20 of these everyday with new ones every morning. I had first thought I might have got insect bites being in weeds but I have notice that I dont have to be in weeds and bound to the house and still have them. They become worse right after taking the injections so I am going to treat it as a side effect of the meds.
