I'll will probably ask for another type of antibiotic. i would NOT recommend this medication to anyone....and if u just have to take it, take the smallest dosage possible with lots of food on the stomach. I took a one time dosage of 2000mg and i dont think that i required half of that amount because this is some really strong stuff. | F | 19 | 1 days | 11/15/2009 | 1 | Chest infection | I went to the out of hours doctors she said i had suspected phuemonia I ended up having to be taken to hospital the night before last i was so distressed no one could calm me down i was shaking so much the more of the drug i took the worst it got after i was perscribed it i thought the side effects was because of the infection but it was getting worse my body was soo heavy i had trouble breathing my lungs were so heavy pains in my chest i was uncontrollby shaking by the end of the 3day iwas going off my mind it actully made me loose my mind i didnt want to speak when i had the episodes after taking a pill i had to try and forse myself to eat but hardly ate anything my eyes look petrified i was so frightened i thought i was gunna die at first i couldnt keep the pills down my body was trying to tell me something but the doc precribed me anti sickness to keep them down to get me better incase the cheast infection turned into phuemonia i went to hell and back. Im back home now but still | I always look at the side effects of drugs but the one time i didnt got caught out i didnt think antibiotics would be so dangerous | F | 26 | 3 days | 11/14/2009 | 1 | chest infection | I started my dose of 500mg 3 times a day, i took my last dose of the day and went to bed feeling fine, was woken about an hour later with chest pain and severe nausea, then SEVERE vomiting (i have never been so sick), i burst blood vessels in my face and eyes from all the wretching, i was also hugely disorienated. The vomiting subsided after about 5 hours and then i had surging chest pain which then just faded away to what felt like heartburn the next day. | I not a dramatic person at all and am rarely ill but i genuinely felt like i was dying and was close to calling 999. After the cleaning, my stomach started to hurt and continued getting worse. I keep food constantly in my stomach with this medicine and that seems to help. Though it is hard to eat every 6 hours . Wake up at 6am and eat when I am not even hungry. I found that if I do not keep food in my stomach it starts hurting really bad and cramps horribly. I am also taking a probiotic called align in the am and culturelle in the pm . The probiotics helps replinish the good bacteria and help with the upset stomach. My dentist also informed me that he only prescribes the capsule form since this causes the least amount of GI side effects so ask your dr for this one. My tooth is less sore from the root canal but my sore throat and swelling of my lymph node caused by the root canal is still not all the way gone.
