I recommend anyone who take this to start your day with yoghurt and drink plenty of water it is so worth taking it even if you have side effects! While it is an antibiotic, it helps with stomach motility. I think the motility problems were easier to deal with than the erythromycin. I had never felt this bad on an antibiotic. First day of taking it, I just had a general feeling that I wasn't feeling well. The second day, I had terrible diarrhea. Right now (Second night: Its about 2:23am) I woke up around 12:30 with terrible stomach cramps that hurt to the point of making me feel like I was going to vomit. I had a few scares (sitting in front of the toilet, praying that I wasn't going to be sick). Laying back in bed, can't sleep, terrible stomach cramps that are keeping me up and the nausea is something fierce. The next day, I had my morning, then afternoon dose at around 2pm, after suffering with cramps and pain I then began violently vomiting from 7 pm to around 10 pm with no breaks. On tonsillitis this was extremely detrimental and painful, especially as I hadn't been able to eat much my stomach is now very painful. | I contacted my Doctor, who told me to stop the course and return the drugs to the pharmacy. Anyone who feels they need to stop their course, I urge you, speak to your Doctor first to ensure it is safe to do so. Also, do not be too put off by negative reviews, as I said, the first time around it was a very effective antibiotic and caused no problems. If like me you are allergic to Penicillin and Erythromycin, talk to your Doctor about your options, be aware these may be few!
