It's almost like it was working, then the effect plateaued. Overall, it's been horrendous- but I do believe it wouldn't have been this bad if I didn't have the complication of recent abdominal surgery adding to the pain. The side effects can be troublesome but its either that you deal with or accept the possibility of getting worse from your problem to begin with. I took this drug twice in one year, the first for H.Pylori and it worked completely with side effects that were tolerable. The second time I took this was for a tooth infection and the side effects were pretty bad. The first time I was mentally ready and wanting to get rid of the problem, while the second time I didn't want to take it because I knew it is not good to take these drugs too often. You just have to deal with it or stop taking it if you can't handle it. Some people here write some unbelievable side effects thats just out of this world. I just had to laugh at some of these comments. Its not the drug thats giving you these crazy side effects, its all in your head. Take it or don't, simple as that. Be thankful we have that choice. I know for a fact that this drug has saved countless of lives and I know it makes others feel sick. Those who are allergic I can understand but the others need to see a shrink. I have taken it to treat H.Pylori and it did its job but with side effects that were tolerable. The second time I took this drug was for a tooth infection, and the side effects were really bad but it still did its job. I think it depends on the condition of your general health at the time of taking it will determine how well you handle it. Also I think a lot of it is in your head. Meaning as when I first took the drug I was just ready and wanting to get rid of the problem. The second time I took it I was not happy about taking it again as I know its not a good thing to do often. It was all in my head just as most of you who complain so much about the side effects. I know this drug saves lives and also makes people feel sick. We shouldn't cry about something in life that atleast we have a choice about. You can take it or not. Its up to you. If you feel so sick taking it then just simply stop. I am supposed to take 2 pills, 4 times a day. i took my first dose at noon today, and i had a little cramping but nothing to much. I took my second does 40 minutes ago and i can barely see.
