I'm just switching back to taking regular Tums antacids for heartburn because the anxiety is too much for me to handle. I've been afraid to consume caffeine or sugar or even eat because I'm worried it'll trigger my heartburn and I'll feel even worse from my throat feeling tight. I feel like I'm on the verge of a panic attack right now and it's been about 22 hours after taking my last dose. Never again. I woke up in the middle of the night after taking 2 pepcid that day. I was having a panic attack because my heart was beating so fast and I was sweating and had no idea why. This is the start of my 10th day without pepcid. I still wake up at the same time every morning (5:30, no matter when i go to bed) and can only manage to fall asleep for an hour of two after even if I smoke marijuana. I still deal with a mixture of anxiety and depression throughout the day however it has become way more manageable. Most of the other side effects have also lessened if not completely gone away. However, I am so frustrated that I wake up at 5:30 every morning that its making my anxiety worse and I feel very depressed in the morning. I'm praying this ends soon. It has been almost 3 weeks since the first incident with pepcid and I am very sick of not being able to sleep and constantly being in a state of panic or depression. I stopped the day before the ER visit we are tuesday and the stomach pain has lessened but still there and i cant sleep. I think its still lingering i did take 40mg twice a day. | My first sign that this was not good for me was, when i took it at bed time i instantly had lower stomach pains, like a cramp but extreme! Please dont take this medicine anymore. I hate taking meds to begin with but thought this would help! Currently, it is the beginning of my third day without a dosage, my anxiety has begun to get better, and the heart palpitations have slowed down significantly. However, I still struggle to stay asleep, I still feel depression and its hard to stay positive because I don't know how long this drug will affect me. I got similar, but not as bad, nerve pains when taking Aciphex years ago for a 3 month course, too. Pepcid did the job this time, as I have less burning in my esophagus, but I really hope all of these nerve issues go away.
