I was taking it after sever rounds of antibiotics that tore my stomach up! It took me about a month to even think it could be the Pepcid but that's the only thing I was taking! After reading all of the comments on here I know think the episodes I was having but had such a hard time describing was anxiety attacks. I have never suffered from anxiety so it was hard to describe how I felt. It was a very intense feeling that came along with high heart rate, nausea and just an overall feeling of not feeling well. It would last anywhere from 20 minutes to over an hour! The first time I experienced one of the “episodes” I felt like I almost passed out, out of nowhere! Since then I have been dizzy/lightheaded with blurry vision 24/7 with the “episodes” every couple days. I have a hard time sleeping, a muscle spasm wakes me up or my heart racing or Alot of the time I just feel like there is some stimulant in my brain keeping me awake! I have seen every specialist and been to the ER twice. Everything from neurology, cardiology and ENT have all came back good. I am thankful I found this because I felt like I was just going crazy! No doctor I've spoke with has ever heard of this reaction which is frustrating! I would Love to know how long it took for other peoples symptoms to go away! I find myself needing a nap every single day and I've had to quit work cause of the debilitating fatigue, extreme pain and regurgitating all over my workplace.My normal day starts of with excessive phlegm that usually takes about an hour of my morning to clear up. That's aside from waking up feeling like I haven't slept for days, no energy whatsoever I even have trouble throwing out trash sometimes. The depression sets in before eating breakfast and never goes away till I sleep. I been a couch potato for many years and have lost many friends and family due to a lack of understanding of my condition and the symptoms caused by the medicine which was designed to help , but instead does nothing but wreck havoc in your life. All the symptoms slowly disappear whenever I had the Strength to cut it out for a few days to a week or two and that's the maximum I've ever been able to wean myself of the drug, I end up having to retake it again knowing I will have to suffer all the side effects again.
