| 1 | Throat Infection | More frequent bowel movements and softer stool, Nausea, Muscle aches, Joints in fingers started hurting on the skin on the inside of hands. On the 7th day taking I developed a rash on my entire upper body, little red dots that didn't itch. | The doctor told me that the medication sometimes doesn't even work faster than my own body's immune system. The side effects aren't great, but they're also not intolerable. I'm still able to go to work. The second day of taking it, I did wake up at night with chills for no reason, a lot of nausea, and some mild anxiety. It faded after an hour or so and I've felt okay since. This drug really isn't bad. I took Cipro before, and this drug is a cake walk compared to Cipro. I ended up in the hospital w/ chest pain after taking cipro and have had chest pain ever since, months later. The seemingly intractable, horrific bronchitis bacteria began dying and within 11 or 12 days was completely eradicated. My doctor explained that in addition to the Amoxillin, Augmentin included Clavulanic which protects Amoxillin. I'm halfway through the dosage and noticed a small dry red patch of skin on the head of my penis, i'm wondering if i should stick through the dosage or not.
