My sinus infection is clearing up but I feel like complete crap. I've never had an antibiotic make me feel this lousy. The pills are the size of a coin purse too, which doesn't help matters. This drug causes convulsions of the stomach and mouth. The convulsing stomach causes the air in the lungs to be pushed out or sucked into the mouth and made strange sounds. My family thought I was trying to say something. It was all involuntary on my part. Other side effects are that it causes diarrhea, dry mouth, and sore muscles from the convulsing. I was afraid that it could suffocate me before I woke up in time. The convulsions can be reduced by sitting up, standing, or walking after you notice them. I found this out by trying different postures over two days. I put my hand on my stomach to detect the twitching which progressively becomes worse if you don't change positions. However, this leaves only a little time to sleep in between the convulsions. It usually becomes less in the morning if you take the second dosage at about dinner time. The worst one caused my eyes to bulge out and face to turn red from the pressure and la | The pills and the dosage amount are very large. The PA recommended taking once at breakfast and dinner time to reduce the unpleasant side effects. This did not help in my case. I requested PA to prescribe different antibiotic. However, I did notice that my sinus infection was clearing up.
