| 4 | prevent another BC recurrence | I took Tamoxifen for 2 months and had a recurrence. Started Femara and no side effects for 5 months. Now I have chronic joint pain, feet, knees, wrists, elbows, shoulder, achy fingers, lower-mid back pain and hips. It's better once I get moving with my day. Some headaches. Vaginal dryness and low libido. Some dizziness and upset stomach. Weight gain. I feel like I'm 20 years older. | My doctor tells me it's either Femara or another course of chemo. My husband wants me to endure the discomfort; take ibuprofen to get some sleep. He believes if taking Femarai will keep me alive longer then it's worth the pain. I had the same experience with tamoxifen except when I was taking tamoxifen the discharge felt like it was burning. In addition I had two types of vaginits two weeks after I started tamoxifen.
