The swelling goes down fairly quick, within about an hour or less. When the drug became available in Canada I was glad to see it here, however, I took Aleve for my arthritis and my hands and body began to tingle, my lips went numb, my tongue swelled up, and I developed a rash all over my body. I went to the hospital ER and the treated me for six hours and then I was released. I have never had any reaction to any other drugs in my 63 years. This experience has made me warey of any drug containing fillers and dyes.
