2  Weight loss The 1st 3 weeks I had no side effects and it didn't curve my appetite at all either. Then, I had the increase to .5 and when I tell you I have been miserable since. I am very nauseated every day and I have the worst case of diarrhea. I can't seem to do anything but lay in bed because of the abdominal pains. I'm only taking it for weight loss and haven't loss anything in a month. So, I will not continue injecting myself to experience the pain that I have. F 40 1 months

4  Weight loss for obesity I will start by saying I have lost 22 pounds since starting this. It is helping tremendously with my appetite as in I really don't have one at all. I have to watch what I do eat because some things really really upset my stomach and I begin throwing up. The downside is I throw up at least 3-4 days out of the week and a lot of things really upset my stomach that didn't before. I have changed my diet to a more Whole Foods type of diet because fast food and processed foods really make it worse. I only throw up about 2 days a week now. F 34 2 months

1  Pre-diabetic Weight loss Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, stomach cramps, bloating. I have been off ozempic for 6 weeks now. Shortly after getting to the full dose I started having extreme stomach issues. I have had just about every test you can have for stomach pains, ultrasound, CT, Hida scan, endoscopy, 2 emergency room visits and nothing! 6 weeks off and still dealing with severe side effects. I did loose 10 pounds but most days I couldn't eat, doesn't really seem like any way to live. I'm glad to hear it has worked for many people. For many others it's just not worth it. F 40 90 days

3  Weight loss I have nausea most days and don't eat much at all due to no appetite. I have lost 20 lbs. in 3 months BUT I feel this medication has contributed to my depression. I have decided to go off the medication as I cannot function with how depressed I am. It's actually scary. Wondering if anyone else has experienced feeling extremely depressed taking this medication. F 62 3 months

3  Weight loss I've had anxiety and fluid retention to first week but I'm not sure if it's the ozempic. I have a tendency to be allergic to a variety of things so I need to be careful. No other side effects. Just had second dose today and I'll monitor myself carefully. If I'm not bloated and anxious, then I'll know it wasn't the ozempic. I'll update weekly. Lost 1kg first week.  5  Diabetes and overweight At the start diarrhea and nausea. Later on burps that stink. Some of you people need to toughen up. Once you get passed the initial side effects they slowly go away. Lost 28 pounds on this drug. I no longer feel hungry all the time like a pig. When I eat now I get full when I eat a reasonable amount of food. I love ozempic I've recommended if to multiple friends who are overweight as well. M 38 3 months

4  Weight loss Nausea. Stomach cramping. Weakness and fatigue. Dizziness. I'd really like to know if anyone who has stopped taking Ozempic after goal weight has maintained it. Also does weight loss slow down the longer you take it? Once I reach goal weight could I take injection every 10 to 12 days to just maintain? I'm concerned about longterm effects. F 69 60 days

OZEMPIC  (SEMAGLUTIDE):  Semaglutide is used with a proper diet and exercise program to control high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes. Controlling high blood sugar helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems, loss of limbs, and sexual function problems. Proper control of diabetes may also lessen your risk of a heart attack or stroke. Semaglutide is similar to a natural hormone in your body (incretin). It works by causing insulin release in response to high blood sugar (such as after a meal) and decreasing the amount of sugar your liver makes. If you use insulin, semaglutide is not a substitute for insulin treatment.   (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)
