RATING | REASON | SIDE EFFECTS FOR OZEMPIC | COMMENTS | SEX | AGE | DURATION/ DOSAGE | DATE ADDED |
3 | Insulin Resistance, Thyroid Disease | Extreme lethargy on days 3-4, some gall bladder pain, muscle aches and extreme fatigue. While I've been on Ozempic for nearly 6 months I've recently developed horrid flu-like symptoms after dosing that last for several days. Nausea is a constant but managed with Prilosec and anti-nausea medications. | I've lost over 20 lbs. and my overall labs continue to improve but the symptoms are becoming unbearable. | F | 42 | 5 months .25 mg 3X M | 11/23/2020 | 1 | Elevated a1c | Extreme nausea, depression, caused a flare up of diverticulitis. I have never felt worse. | It should be removed from market. Did not lower my blood sugars at all. | F | 52 | 30 days 0.25 1X W | 11/22/2020 | 1 | Other drugs and insulin not working | Horrible burps, gas, bloating, sick stomach. The worst drug that I have ever taken. | M | 70 | 5 weeks O25 0.5 1X W | 11/20/2020 | 3 | Type 2 diabetes | Nausea, vomiting , malaise , no energy | Started with .25 for 4 was , my numbers started to fall into place , I was very happy with that . First wk at .5 ,nausea, vomiting, no energy. I also suffer from vertigo, Ozempic certainly exasperates the vertigo. Don’t really know if will continue, don’t see enough good coming with the side effects. | M | 62 | 5 weeks .25 1X W | 11/14/2020 | 3 | Diabetes Type 2 | I started taking synjardy in April because metformin wasn't working well enough. The synjardy (Jardiance/ metformin combo) wasn't lowering my daily numbers and A1C only dropped from 8.8 to 8.6. The 2nd week in July I then started Ozempic in conjunction with the synjardy. I haven't had my A1C tested again but I'm scheduled soon since beginning Ozempic. I am very happy with my daily numbers which vary from 98-135 or a fairly consistent basis. The problem I have with Ozempic appears to be a common problem as with everybody else on this post; bloating, sulfur burps and gas (which are so vile), diarrhea, constipation, and vomiting. The vomiting has happened 4 times so essentially once a month. However, it's just not like a 5 minute episode it is anywhere from 90 min to 2 hours of vomiting, not moving from the bathroom and emptying your entire stomach content as well as your intestinal content out the other end. Once that is over I'm fairly spent for the rest of the day and feel weak into even the next day. I have also lost weight. I probably lost 7 or 8 pounds on synjardy alone and then after adding Ozempic, I lost another 20 lb. So I'm very happy with the glucose results and weight loss but the other complications caused from Ozempic I'm not sure I will be able to continue to withstand. | F | 53 | 15 weeks 0.25 1X W | 11/14/2020 | 3 | T 2 diabetes | Headache, slight stomach ache | F | 63 | 2 weeks O. 25 1X W | 11/14/2020 | 3 | T 2 diabetes | Headache, slight stomach ache | F | 63 | 2 weeks O. 25 1X W | 11/14/2020 | 1 | Weight loss | Vomiting within hrs of first dose. This is day 2 still feel like death. Couldn't sleep stomach hurt all night. Ate half bake potato all day. Very uncomfortable fullness feeling. Still very nauseated and I can't wait for this to end. Never again! | F | 38 | 2 days .25 1X W | 11/10/2020 | 3 | Type 2 | Horrible sulfur burps and belching. Gas and diarrhea All this after my first dose. Started within hours of injection. Headache as well | Can anyone tell me how long these symptoms last? Do they occur with each shot? Do they get better? | F | 58 | 0 days 0.25 1X W | 11/3/2020 | 3 | A1C Type2 Diabetes | Nausea, vomiting, constipation. After a few months some of the symptoms are better | I have some unusual symptoms which - I don't know if they are from Ozempic but the onset was after. I like to hike and walk/run - after starting Ozempic there has been several times where I will be half way out on the hike and my stomach begins gurgling. You can audibly hear it sloshing around. Then extreme nausea where I have violent vomiting on the trail. Then I have to hike back out without being able to hydrate. This is super disturbing as it is good exercise that I feel I am no longer able to do. Doc checked heart, has an upper endoscopy nothing abnormal found. The other thing that has occurred is I developed scalp lesions like psoriasis or something and have now been going to a dermatologist. Just wondering if anyone out here has experienced any of the odd ones, especially the exercise induced vomiting. I think I am going to ask my doc to go off of it in a couple of weeks because of the symptoms are so difficult to deal with. | F | 59 | 10 months .5 1X W | 11/2/2020 | 4 | Lower A1c, Lose weight | After 11 weeks most gassiness, nausea, and burping went away. Now, dose is up to .75 (Started at .25, then .50), but now constipation has started. Would love to hear from others who have experienced constipation and what, if anything, has helped. Already trying Metamucil. | F | 63 | 11 weeks 75 mg 1X W | 10/29/2020 | 5 | Diabetes Type 2, weight loss | Nausea | My diabetes is now in remission and I've lost over 100lbs | 22 | 11 months .5 1X W | 10/23/2020 | 1 | Type 2 Diabetic, PCOS, Ins Resistan | Weight loss, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, bloating, constipation | I started at 0.5 for type 2 diabetes, insulin resistance and PCOS along with Invokana. I did fine for 2 months. Dose was increased to 1mg and 3 weeks later I started having chemical like burps, not sulphuric. Within 45 mins of these burps I had severe nausea followed by vomiting and diarrhea. I missed 3 days of work. 2 weeks later, same experience, only much more intense with the vomiting non stop for 2 hours straight. I was so dehydrated I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. Overall, I think the science behind the drug, especially for insulin resistance and seeing my a1c and blood sugar down, is great. But to make me lose time at work, be so sick, now scared to eat anything and still dealing with residual GI issues after quitting Ozempic, I'd never take it again. The tradeoff was not worth it. | F | 34 | 3 months 1 mg 1X W | 10/23/2020 | 4 | Weight loss | I've recently went up to 1mg x twice a week. I am now getting sulfur burps. Pepto helps with the burps and gas | M | 41 | 7 months 1mg x2 wee 1X day | 10/21/2020 | 3 | Insulin resistance | Diarrhea, nausea, gas pains, sulfur burps | I started taking this medication with high hopes. I have insulin resistance due to PCOS. I started out taking .25mg for four weeks with no side effects and I was loosing weight, about 15 pounds. I went up to the 0.5mg dose and I have been so miserable. The constant gas pains, nausea, diarrhea and sulfur burps. I'm hoping since I'm only on week 2 of 0.5 that it gets better | F | 28 | 45 days .5 1X W | 10/21/2020 | 4 | Type 2 | Was great for the first 2 months, but now I started getting eggy bulps, diarrhoea fell very uncomfortable after 2 days taken the injection, good point my sugars are staying low and lost 10 pounds since I started it , But bad point is eggy bulps and diarrhoea. The smell is so bad | F | 51 | 3 months O2mg 1X W | 10/19/2020 | 3 | Type 2 | Nausea Constipation from hell Tired Slight nervousness and shaky The feeling of Horrible uncomfortable fullness | F | 67 | 6 weeks .50 1X W | 10/16/2020 | 3 | Type2 diabetes | Eructations, constipation , reflux, bloating, gI distress | M | 72 | 9 months .5 1X W | 10/15/2020 | 5 | Type 2 diabetes | Very bad headache, constipation | My headaches are bad. It's the kind where if I just turn my head to the side it hurts more. Also headache is only on left side of my head. Sometimes I'll have headache all week 24/7. Then all of a sudden it's gone maybe almost a week. Then it starts hurting again all of a sudden. I take medicine for headache but it never goes away completely with medication. I don't know if the headaches are worth it. But my A1C is perfect. | F | 56 | 4 months 05 mg 1X W | 10/12/2020 | 3 | Diabetes T2 | I have been taking ozempic for 10 months is it normal to loose 67 pounds within less than a year | F | 55 | 10 months .05 1X W | 10/12/2020 |
