Weight gain only after I stopped smoking in 2016, considering the small bad effects I rather take it than not. Recommend small dosage at first, plus be positive about life, it could be worse as I seen and experienced worse in Iraq. | M | 49 | 11 years 200 1X day | 2/16/2020 | 1 | Sleep problems/anxiety | Got sleep but host of physical /health/mental memory problems.Started to withdraw after four months.now am at 25mg.lots of problems such as gallblader, libido, infections, memory dull, no emotions, heart failure, liver damage, etc, etc. living in a hell.strongly NOT advise anyone to go on this poison | A HELL | M | 65 | 4 months 100mg | 1/29/2020 | 3 | Sleep Disorder | Weight gain, Cholesterol issues. The worst was Restless Leg Syndrome. | Tapering is easy, knock 25-50mg off at a time for a few days. I went from 350 to 300 pretty easily, next step is 300 to 250 and I'll keep pushing to take more off because there's just too many side effects. | M | 38 | 5 years 350 1X day | 1/14/2020 | 1 | Sleep and racing thoughts | Just an awful drug for me. Instant zombie on lowest of dosing and no cease of racing thoughts. Did help with sleep the first few nights. Extremely powerful and caused/lead to some black holes memory wise for me. | This one wasn’t for me. I was groggy even minutes after taking it. Memory gaps and lethargic state were terrifying. | 48 | 7 days | 12/10/2019 | 5 | Sleep aid | Non | Helps me sleep at night- started at 50mg and now take 100 mg...but have taken it consistently for 15 years. | F | 66 | 15 years 100mg 1X day | 11/30/2019 | 1 | No idea, Dr didn't know either | Difficulty swallowing! | I don't trust the medical or pharmaceutical world, especially after being prescribed this "drug" when the doctor knew nothing, and I do mean nothing, about me. No longer taking | M | 48 | 4 months 100 | 11/26/2019 | 1 | Bipolar 2, clinical depression | Gained weight rapidly, bedridden slept 13 hours, didn’t care for anything felt like I was paralysed. I thought this time I was getting the help that I deserved after taking every med under the sun non worked. It did stop me crying and numbed me emotionally but I felt very depressed and suicidle and sad that I couldn’t look after myself. If life upsets you believe me you will have a crazy episode but if your in bed all Day you feel nothing except worthless useless and not wanting to be alive but your so sedated you can’t be bothered to kill yourself. I had panic attacks and stopped breathing many times in my sleep. The tablet will hit you If you are making something to eat then suddenly your on the floor you cannot move the tablet sometimes puts your body to sleep before your mind and sometimes it feels like someone is giving you a lethal injection and you feel like your dieing whilst going to sleep it’s awful. | It’s 4 days going cold turkey my nurse did not recommend it but they do nothing to help except increase the doses. My eyes and hearing and very heightened noises light is painful constant nausea my head feel awful can feel the drop in my brain feels like a painful black hole. Stomach cramps and constant pain, sweating. Crying very emotional but I’m feeling a little better despite that feel a bit more motivated to get out of bed and do simple laundry | 32 | 6 months 300 | 11/24/2019 | 1 | Schizophrenia | Tardive Dyskinesia and Fainting Spells | I would rather be crazy than have crazy involuntary facial expressions like a retard. This drug ruined my life!!! | F | 36 | 1 years 200mg | 11/16/2019 | 1 | Poison!!!!! | M | 65 | 0 years 800mg. | 10/17/2019 | 2 | Major insomnia | Extremely joint, bone , muscle pain, paralysis at times, eyes hurt, weak, unmotivated, weight going . Research says this drug causes bone density with prolonged use. Also cataracts , great! | It’s a nightmare! It did help me near three years ago with my insomnia. Because I couldn’t sleep at all. However many nights I felt like I was dieing , truly , my son called the squad once and hospitalized me! Now I sleep a little with highly does or non-without it. Must get off . I hope it hasn’t already caused extensive long term damage. | F | 38 | 0 days 600mg | 10/13/2019 | 1 | Insomnia/Borderline personnality | Weight gain of 30 lbs, sédation, extreme fatigue, stroke, arythmia, agressive and violent behavior, depersonnalisation, depression, increased appetite, drug cravings (relapse in crystal meth after 2 year sobre), stroke i have to take brillanta now, diabetes, hypertension, suicide attempt, homoicidal ideation | This is by far the worst drug I have ever taken, made me a complete lunatic and my health is ruined because of that drug. Made me sleep like a rock but could not hear my alarm, lost my job, my girlfriend. I was on Latuda before, but my doctor changed for Seroquel, why???? I was ok on Latuda. I hate Seroquel!! In Quebec Canada, they prescibe the same sh*t to everybody, Celexa that made me impotent and lethargic, and seroquel that destroyed my life!! Finally ended up at the ER after a suicide attempt. Now I'm on Buspirone and Pristiq and doing so much better. | M | 35 | 2 months 25-50 mg 1X day | 9/27/2019 | 1 | Organic personality disorder, TBI, | Side effects I've had are heart palpitations, extreme groggy feeling throughout the day, vertigo when standing up, weight gain, anxiety and depression, slurred speech and dizziness | I've been on this med far too long and I'm not sure wht no doc wants to change it. I'm still consistently having anxiety mood swings and depression. This med just doesn't work for me | F | 31 | 14 years 375 mg | 9/14/2019 | 4 | Bipolar | Brain fog, weight gain, lethargy, joint stiffness and aching muscles, sugar cravings. | I was prescribed a generic version for insomnia, it was very effective at calming my racing thoughts and inducing sleep. I tried to manage my mania with just 50mg of quetiapine, which worked to a certain extent. However my depression deepened to the point of suicidal thoughts, at which point I started taking Lithium. Over the past 3 months I have reduced my quetiapine to 25mg 1 hour before going to bed. I noticed that my muscles were aching more and I was experiencing acute stiffness in my joints. I have not taken it for 2 nights now and the muscle pain and joint stiffness has disappeared. I have managed to sleep OK and will only continue use if needed as a sleep aid. | M | 43 | 9 months 75MG | 8/19/2019 | 5 | Misdiagnosed as Bipolar | Gained 120 pounds. Cognitive impairment. | I was initially put on 50mg due to the stress of losing a loved one. Quickly built up a tolerance and ended up on 900mg. Lost my career, ability to form relationships, or control my finances. I weaned off the drug over about 7 years. This is an inappropriate medication for long term use. It is disabling and clearly a neurotoxin. Avoid at all costs. I'm now working, going to school, and enjoying life again. | M | 55 | 17 years 900 1X day | 8/4/2019 | 5 | Bipolar | Severe weight gain. Sedation, without Seroquel I cannot sleep. That being said, it is not a sleep aid. I have terrible real life like nightmares constantly. Constipation. | At this point I am still worried about the Tardive Dyskinesia. Almost 20 years. But for my situation, It is worth the risk for the benefits. I have to be careful due to being up many times as night as it does make me very dizzy. It is not for everyone. I would personally prefer it over the older Trazodone or Klonopin which really knock me out and don't fully treat the bipolar. | F | 48 | 19 years 450mg | 8/3/2019 | 1 | Dr presc for anxiety | Couldnt walk vertigo uncontolled movements leg weighlessness feeling notbon ground | I was seeing things in day angels looking from heaven | F | 2 years 850 | 8/3/2019 | 3 | Depression and sleep | Feeling tired, shaky, still have the uncontrollable orgasms pain in stomach passing gas alot feeling drugged up. waking up standing up and walking a about the house in my sleep | I find the drug is making things loads worst especially at night like walking abou the house in my sleep. During the day have about 5 to 6 uncontrollable orgasms a day all ways feeling drugged still slim at the moment and can fit into my low rise slim Jeans had to change diet on safe side to make sure as am always feeling hungry and have to control how much I eat ignoring to much sugar but does anyone know about what causes the sexual problems like uncontrollable orgasms? | F | 24 | 21 weeks 50mg | 7/20/2019 | 1 | Chronic Insomnia | I was prescribed Seroquel XR 600MG at h.s. for insomnia. The medication, without question, worked for my debilitating insomnia. However, what I could not tolerate was that I literally could not “get up” the next day. I was sleeping 12+ hours, and getting up around noon or even 1PM after going to bed at 12A. Obviously, I could not function during the day considering that “my day literally started at 1PM. My quack of a doctor has the philosophy of giving drugs to patients like candy, and practices the philosophy of giving “Uppers for downers, and downers for uppers” To mitigate the daytime grogginess, he actually put me on 90MG of Adderall (taken three times daily) His actions (and my naïveté) were becoming untenable. The other two side-effects consisted of experiencing “Akathisia’’ — which is a vague experience of internal restlessness..... For example, I found myself “walking around” | I feel like I “said it all’ in the first column. However, I do not wish to scare people. Even though this drug clearly has deleterious effects on brain chemistry, the brain has something which is called Neuroplasticity meaning that even though a dangerous drug such as Seroquel can intermittently alter brain functioning, the brain can, and in fact, does consistently change (and actually grow neurons) to compensate for areas of the brain that have experienced damage, such that may be associated with Seroquel It is definitely possible to discontinue this drug. Titrate it down, and formulate a plan either with your doctor, or on your own. Do not hurry, or attempt to stop cold turkey. Try to develop a plan to decrease your dosage 10% a week. This may require you asking your doctor to prescribe you the 50mg tablets in some cases There is always hope, and even though this drug may have harmed you, (as it did to me) you have the power to ‘stop it’ and you have the power to: “Not Let it........WIN! Please feel free to contact me with your thoughts | M | 35 | 3 years 600MG 1X day | 7/17/2019 |
