| 1 | Shingles Vaccine | Flu like symptoms next day after booster shot & heavy ,weak feeling, aching legs. I had my shot in Feb 2019 & my legs still feel the same plus extreme fatigue at times. My Dr thinks the vaccine triggered neuropathy in my legs. I'm now on meds to help me feel better but they have not worked yet. It's been over a year & a half that I feel this way. Day 5 lip better ~ rash burning and itching. Treating with cortisone cream and Benadryl. Not much help. Tomorrow - July 15 will be Day 6. Not sure I would ever do this again. The vaccine itself hurt so bad, like as soon as it penetrated my skin and immediately my arm was sore from my shoulder to my elbow! It felt so deep inside my arm and hardened. No lifting, touching the area, nothing. Walked into a grocery store and instantly started shivering and trembling...absolutely frozen and shaking so bad my muscles ached. All over. Home about an hour later and couldn't keep my eyes open. I was so weak. Started to become sore in weird places...hips,, neck, back of shoulder, lower back, dizziness, confusion, small cough, head foggy, so I laid down for about 5 hours! Freezing the whole time. No fever that I was aware of but upon rising from"nap" was very nauseous , couldn't eat or drink, ran to bathroom feeling like i might vomit. Couldn't concentrate the rest of the day. Severe arm pain, constant nausea, shivering. Next day, even worse! Arm still untouchably painful. Head spinning, weakness like the flu...skin very sore to touch, no redness or swelling or itching luckily. Lost ability to read and write coherently. Speech was jumbled. Pale, still coughing, severe nausea. Dizziness lingered as did all the aches and pain in joints and spine. Diarrhea, dark urine, super horrible headache...vision problems...still no eating or drinking until that night...just applesauce. Couldn't get warm or keep eyes open. Today...day #3 horrible back ache and hip joints quite sore. Arm cannot be raised but a little and still can;t touch it. Daily tasks are almost impossible. Headache and nausea still ever present. Very weak and sleepy. Still diarrhea and little urine output (from not being able to hold anything down most likely). Stomach ache and uncoordinated. Was NOT told this was a live virus if it was. Kind of upset about that. Experienced shingles A LOT in my life and this vaccine was much worse! But the effects through today in arm I have never had anything like this! My arm aches my bicep aches and is pulling, my shoulder hurts , my arm has lost strength and I can't lift or move it backwards. It started about a week after shot. . I didn't realize until reading the ones on here that still had problems like me for Months! I've continued to have a numb feeling in my right hand & right big toe and foot feels odd and ankle! Within 10 days I experienced the shingles rash break out on my left hip with advanced back pain two days prior to break out. Over the course of one month I experienced 3 additional breakouts of the rash preceded by back and left hip pain. While the rash breakouts were smaller patches they dried up within 4 days each time. However, I am experiencing neuropathy pain in left hip and thigh on and off for the last 3 months with no exceptional stress or over exercise of left hip which gives me reason to suspect the second Shingrix shot. I have also experienced a weakness and reoccurring pain in my left arm where the shot was given. I have had to start PT exercises doing nerve waves in warm pool to help strengthen the arm and ease the nerve pain I have if I raise my arm a certain way. | The shot administered to me by same pharmacy and druggist in November 2019 and 3/8/2020. I would not recommend this shingrix shot regimen to anyone who has had trouble with reoccurring episodes of shingles over several years and experienced lasting nephropathy pains associated with breakouts.
