| 1 | Shingles Vaccine | Had no problem at all with the first shot. The second shot resulted in painful swelling, redness and heat in a 5-inch diameter area around where I got the shot. I had a fever and bad headache the second day. I have tried heat, cold, aspirins, Aleve, Benadryl, sleeping pills and, yes, even marijuana. All my attempts to "cure" this horrible affliction has failed; some give temporary relief, some don't. My so-called "primary care physician" chastised me when I floated the idea nearly 5 months ago all this intense pain was the result of the Shingrix vaccination as it was the ONLY deviation from my normal every day life, telling me that that's the risk we take when we vaccinate. He referred me to a rheumatologist who cannot see me until October or November! If there is ANYONE out there that has found some sort of relief from this horrible affliction please, please - there are MANY of us posting here that would be grateful for your experience and treatment. My life, my 20 year relationship with my significant other has been severely damaged and I honestly cannot take this much longer. | I received the first Shingrix vaccination at Walmart on 12/11/2020 with a slight side effect of a sore arm. The second dosage came on 2/11/2021 from Walmart (Yes, both injections were intramuscular and properly administered) resulting in about 6 or 7 days of fever, pain, nausea, extreme fatigue, joint, muscular and nerve pain and now it's just the horrible, intense pain primarily on my right side involving shoulders, neck, toes, feet, ankle, knee, wrist, fingers, making it nearly impossible to get in or out of bed, walking, lifting even a cup of coffee.
