1  Doctor forced me to try it. I'm a 72 year old grandmother with a history of major depression since age 19. I was basically manipulated into taking this drug at the Kaiser Permanente clinic. I had a very severe cognitive breakdown that was absolutely terrifying. I could not think of the simple first names of three people in my neighborhood. I felt as if I could not organize the words as they flowed out of my mouth. This was absolutely the worst reaction to any medication that I had ever taken. My "prescribing" psychiatrist has been on me to try different drugs for years. My original diagnosis was clinical depression, and I was taking Pamelor. One day, he changed my diagnosis from "mood disorder" to "Bipolar 1 Disorder" and basically railroaded me into the hospital. It was breathtaking. Two other psychiatrists tried to commit me, but the court officer dismissed the case. This case will go down in my history as I try to amend, redact or even SEAL the whole experience because of mistak This drug will be added to my allergies. As a matter of fact, I have decided that most of my life is working quite well, and I do not plan to try any other drugs until I figure out how I can make behavior therapy work better for me.  1  depression Slept but turned into a zombie. Couldn't stop pacing. Dark, disturbing, violent thoughts. Nurse-practitioner seemed to be in love with this drug. I asked for an antidepressant but she refused to give me one and insisted that I take Seroquel. When she saw that it wasn't working she insisted that I increase the dose. Had my husband give me more and more until reached maximum dose. Ruined my life totally for 4-5 years, even though I took it for only 10 days. F 74 10 days

1  Extreme anxiety and anger issues extreme grogginess and feeling like a zombie I am a senior male who has severe sleep apnea since 1991 and use CPAP every night. However, I have extreme daytime sleepiness. My doctor wanted me to take Seroquel to help with my extreme anxiety, OCD and anger issues. I only took the medication for two nights but I felt like a zombie. The dosage was only 25mg. NO ONE who has sleep apnea should take this drug since it will make you so spaced out you are unable to function. M 75 2 days
