| 4 | For Bi- Poplar disorder. | So far no problem. I am taking Serequel in addition to Trileptal, Paxil, Klonopin and Trazzodone. I am feeling good. It may be helping with my IBS. It is very addictive. I stopped taking it with my doctors consent and developed severe side effects of headaches and nausea. My appetite was beyond anything reasonable. I gained substantial weight, however as soon as one day upon quitting, my appetite was gone. However, I find that I am ADDICTED to it and don't know what to do, because upon quitting it, the side effects from quitting it were far worse then the excessive weight gain. Moreover, as soon as I started back up, my muscle cramps commenced and my arthritis problems, which seemed to disappear when I stopped it, returned almost immediately. I'm damned if I take it and damned in trying to quit it. My doctor tried another medication when he took me off it, but it's addiction properties kicked in and I couldn't get out of bed, having severe headaches and nausea. Do not take it with Ambien. Ambien causes sleep walking in many patients and Seroquel creates a binge eating type appetite, taken together you may not realize you are raiding the fridge or doing other strange things in the middle of the night. Not only did I raid the refrigerator, I threw small things away, found things moved around, things like that. As far as I know I didn't go outside. I spoke to the dr. who asked if I wanted him to sleep or have these jerking spells, he seemed to get angry that I was questioning the use of Seroquel. 3 months later, my husband began taking little bitty steps, having to be assisted, 3 months ago, he began shaking as if he were shivering, he would shake the whole bed. Two weeks ago his neurologist (who prescribed Seroquel) saw him for a routine visit and was shocked at how he had deteriorated and said IT WAS THE SEROQUEL! DUH! He said it could cause rigidity and trembling. He advised me to cut back the dosage to 25 mg once every other day. Guess what! I stopped it. After 3 days the shaking stopped, but he still has the muscle movement in his legs and difficulty walking, not quite as bad, but it's still there. My advice: Don't take this crap, it can affect you in ways you never dreamed of, maybe long term, I will have to wait and see. Am having stomach issues withdrawing from Pristiq but I will continue Seroquel. I am fortunate that due to my age I can schedule my life around Seroquel side effects. I'm certain this would be difficult to do as a young person with job and/or family to raise.
