| 1 | intestinal infection | Severe headache, nausea, high fever, rash. | I took this medication for an intestinal infection which included very bad abdominal pain, low fever, and severe bouts of diarrhea. Within three days, I was feeling much better, but I was advised to take Bactrim for ten days. On day seven, I suddenly began having severe chills and shaking. My temperature rapidly shot up to 102.5, and I had a severe headache, pain all over, and extreme nausea. I stopped taking Bactrim. The next morning (today), I developed a rash over my entire body and my fever spiked to over 103. The rash is getting worse now, and my temperature keeps fluctuating wildly.
