On pills 5 days 800mg twice daily then liquid dosage unknown in iv for 2 days.After being discharged i noticed large red blotches on my for arms while heading home and also rash started on legs. By that night rash covere my legs and feet. When i woke up rash was all the way up my backside and was much more severe with little stabs of needle like fashion, by noon i was getting severe pain in my feet and ankle lower legs making walking difficult. By midnight which is now my right foot and ankle are swelled to the point they wont go in a shoe,severe pain in both ankes feet and toes, rash burns more than anything. Dr said to take benadryl and try to ice it , if no improvement by tomorrow he wants me back in the hospital. | This product should be banned as this is sheer torture and the pain in my feet, ankles and toes is worse than either one of my knee replacements. Ankles will barely bend and rash is extremly annoying. The fever got worse every day until I quit taking Bactrim when my fever reached over 101 on the morning of day 8. That morning, I woke up with incredible aches throughout my body that took a few hours to go away. By the afternoon that day, I began feeling better. Most aches had subsided, nausea stopped, I had a full appetite, and the fever went away completely.
