| 1 | Bartholin cyst | Only got 2 pills taken and after second pill whole right side started to tingle and pain in right side. Next morning went to both sides. Legs,feet,hands and side of nose. Dr switched antibiotic. But it took over week to get rid of tingling and numbness and i think it has done permanent damage in hands. The fever got worse every day until I quit taking Bactrim when my fever reached over 101 on the morning of day 8. That morning, I woke up with incredible aches throughout my body that took a few hours to go away. By the afternoon that day, I began feeling better. Most aches had subsided, nausea stopped, I had a full appetite, and the fever went away completely. Went back to my Urologist the following morning and he said it was a allergic reaction or hypersensitivity. Called the CVS Pharmacist to add no Sulfa drugs to my record and ask about the reactions from this drug and drug fevers. The Pharmacist literally said, I've never heard of Drug Fevers or any severe reactions from Bactrim, its a safe and common drug. WOW! Scary to hear from a drug expert. Especially since Bactrim is banned in the UK!!! Took alot of water and 72 hours before the fever subsided and went back to normal. I still feel off, anxious, mild headache, and muscle tension in my forearms affecting my grip strength. Contacted my PCP to get full labs done to make sure no damage was done. Waiting for my results since its Memorial Day weekend. Scary how some professionals are not aware of the side effects and drug fever from this or any other antibiotic.
