| 1 | Esophagus issue | Pain under left breast major anxiety & depression back pain loss of appetite weight loss I watch my life change dramatically affected my marriage made me very angry went from a outgoing person to in house person not wanting to be around anybody...snapped out on everybody for very small reasons...didn't know what was wrong until I sot back and thought that this didn't happen until I started this medication took for 14 days sure it healed my esophagus but after the 14 days symptoms got worser so I got back on them & when I realized what was happening I threw them in the trash took 2 trips to the hospital thinking I was having a heart attack both trips blood work was great and ekg/heart test was normal. Took July to September and been off since the second week of September it's now end of October and all symptoms are still here except for depression and anxiety has gone took about six weeks for those to leave. Some symptoms have got better but not gone. The phlegm is most annoying just trying to clear my airways to breath and never being able to be comfortable is the worst part and of course doctors denied this evil putrid poison had anything to do with it. They're hand in hand with big pharma. May take 6-8 months to recover I hear. It's gonna be a long journey but take my advice if a doctor prescribed this for you don't take it. Not worth losing quality of life for the side effects. Then fatigue and lack of appetite slowly improved, but anxiety and other mental symptoms got worse. I am not someone who has had anxiety or panic attacks before, and it was miserable. As that improved, insomnia was worst aspect, I could not stay asleep. But I also want to share hope because I desperately needed it - I'm 3.5 weeks from last dose and feeling pretty much fine now. I really think drug and low acid wiped out nitric oxide and also amino acids, which support/build neurotransmitters. What may have helped me was lots of beet/spinach/carrot juice and L-citrulline for NO, and protein for amino acids. And diy hacks to stimulate vagus nerve that calms down fight-or-flight response. Lots of ideas on youtube. Contact me if you want resources from my hours of desperate research. Also acupuncture, which I never had before but was willing to try. Went 2 months without it but really suffered. Talked to my Dr and she said a 20mg may have been to much and put me on 10mg and said it should work without the side effects. Side effects were huge depression and tearfulness which was getting worse. Lump in the throat, sore tongue, lower back pain, tired, and constipation. Also a strange feeling of doom. | During the break between the 20mg and starting the 10mg all side effects went away. Now the 10mg has caused them all to return. At the time I did not link the two as I thought the increase in symptoms was due to stress of the pandemic. About 4 months into taking omeprazole I started getting UTI's which I never had experienced before. I was getting 1 every 4-6 weeks and could not understand why. I also had constant bowel problems either diarrhoea or constipation, along with heart palpitations. A year into taking the drug and with worsening reflux symptoms the doctor double my dose to 40MG per day. Within 2 weeks or this I started experiencing bloating stomach symptoms. With the doctors telling me I had IBS or a dietary intolerance I continued to take this medication for a further 8 months! The UTIs and bloating proceeded to get worse, with constant stomach pains and bloating that never goes down, bloating that can only be described as like constant pregnant stomach. I even ended up having UTIs for over 3 weeks without being able to treat them. The bloating has ruined my self esteem and I live in fear of getting yet another UTI. After finding breakthrough reviews across the internet I started to wean myself of these tablets 4 months ago, eventually shopping taking them 2 months ago (end March). I am still experiencing all symptoms currently and am worried this is irreversible. | Please can anyone tell me how long it took for their side effects to ease, I am so worried I will never get back to myself after taking these for so long.
