Minor side effects include feeling colder, minor hair shedding and disturbed sleep. I also have had frequent upset stomach in the mid morning, which has finally gone away after 5 months. No bleeding or bruising, except for the first week. | Overall, I'm satisfied with the plavix. My LAD was 80 percent blocked prior to the stent and my RCA is still 50 percent blocked. I'm not thrilled about taking plavix, but we don't have much of a choice do we. I also take a daily aspirin and blood pressure medications. Was on Brilinta 90mg twice a day from then until 3 weeks ago when my cardiologist had me stop Brilinta and take Plavix instead for another year. Except for minor shortness of breath for a few weeks, I had no side effects while on Brilinta. Now that I've been on Plavix for 3 weeks, the minor tinnitus I've had for decades has suddenly become MUCH worse, my legs are weak and very sore when I climb hills, my sleep is awful (very difficult time falling and staying asleep), my forearms feel odd, like they're weak or a bit numb, but they're actually fine when I work out, so I don't know what that's about. I'll give it another month to see if things improve. But, right now, I have to say that this medication is horrible. Also, I would welcome hearing from anyone else who has had these or other side effects and especially from those who have stopped Plavix.
