| 1 | Osteoporosis | Joint pain later in the day I took Actonel then by next morning diahrrea and some vomiting which lasted a few days and left me dehydrated. After that I still had joint pain and bad headache. The pain has been in my hands, knees, shoulders and lower back. I started having diarrhea along with gut wrenching contracation for the next few days. I went to the Dr. yesterday and she attributed it Actonel and suggest Immodium. I still have the big stromach cramps that actually feel like labor pains, This | I wish I would have found this site before taking the first and last pill. I didn't put two and two together until the gastroenterologist told me in late Oct (2 weeks before the reversal of the colostomy) to stop the Actonel as she thought there was an association between the colic pain and the rupture, and may have contributed to the rupture and I was more at risk, because I had diverticulum.. I took the package information and called the manufacturer to make a report. I filed a ADVERSE REACTION report with the FDA. I contacted my pharmacist at 4 am to see what I might take to get some relief. I don't know what kind of permanent damage I have done to my system. But I will NEVER EVER take this medication or any other medication in this family. I am upset with my doctor for prescribing it. I am mad at myself for taking it a second time.
