There is no mention of the discharge on the box or instructions, so I'm glad to see it is a common side effect. Along with constant gas I have been experiencing fatigue to the point that I am nodding off at my desk after a full nights rest. I took my last dose last night so hopefully it works. I had a checkup with my gynecologist and she looked at it and told me it's a yeast infection. BUT after reading all your comments I think she is wrong!!! I'm very angry that she doesn't know this common side effect and wanted to give me a very strong yeast infection medication (with side effects like "going deaf" - thanks). I didn't take the medication and the discharge went way on its own after 5 or 6 days. No idea why such a discharge occurs - uterus lining shedding? Bad bacteria that's being flushed out? Overall dryness? Mild yeast infection?I don't know. IMPORTANT: Antibiotics destroy not only the bad bacteria but also the good ones. So after the treatment with Metrogel I would recommend you do a treatment with lactic acid suppositories for about 6 days. If a BV is a recurring event for you I would a | Take probiotics, treat with lactic acid suppositories after metrogel to build up the vagina's natural flora again! It cleared the gardranella, but left me with yeast infections that were worse than the original problem. It has also completely destroyed my period, even on oral BC, I started a week before the placebos, bleeding chunky and licorice black.
