| 5 | BV | I had a strange, off-white discharge on the second day, but I didn’t have any pain or bleeding. I think maybe it was my body’s way of literally pushing out the infection but obviously I can’t say for sure. I sometimes bet the tiniest burning sensation soon after I insert the gel each night, but it’s gone in an instant. | Honestly, I’m just glad I managed to get rid of my symptoms. I had a combination of BV and a UTI and I was miserable because I’m away at college and VERY far from my regular doctor. Thought I could go to planned parenthood and get it squared away easy but nope, they’re closed all weekend. I knew there was no way I could way 2 or 3 more days to get rid of the itching, so I went to an urgent care. Turns out they don’t take my insurance. Long story short: I went to the emergency room, peed in a cup, and swabbed my vagina. UTI and BV. Picked up my prescription. When it's not this is a reason why we have repeated cycles of BV. What I started taking to help balance my vaginal ph levels is Women's Probiotic. The white discharge thick is a side effect of treatment but the wet toilet paper - that appears to me to be uterine lining shedding a bit. When I had my IUD placed, a pap, or having a membrane sweep done x2 when I was pregnant with my son I got the same type of "pieces of tissue" with a pink colour or looking like pink coffee grounds. With nydagel I have had pieces be slightly pink but mostly losing all the colour and white. It clears up shortly after stopping the gel. Ultimately topically way better than oral flagyl!!! Then the whitish burgundy tissue like clumps began. Only when I urinated or wiped and huge clumps were coming out but I never felt them pass! They were just there. The nurse told me it's the gel coming out that's all. But I had some major irritation around my anus because the gel just comes out and is in that area for so long. That lasted two days near the end. I am four days after the completion of my last dosage and I still have the clumps. I'm told that it should clear up this week. Other than that I'm good.
