The packaging just said not to use in the case of central nervous system disease, but given that peripheral neuritis is associated with autoimmune disease, that seems terribly irresponsible. My experience shows that even the supposedly safer vaginal form can cause these VERY SERIOUS side effects. It's not worth the risk.
