| 1 | Osteoporosis | 12hr after infusion of Reclast I had headache and bone pain. 20hr after infusion I had sudden onset of nausea and dizziness which caused me to fall onto my kitchen floor spraining my left hand and scraping the right knee. Spent. 2days in bed with headache and fever then upper abdominal pain continued past 10 days even with constant antacid use. At 10days had numbness of my jaw and teeth. The side effects won’t stop. I continue to have no side effects 5 mos into Reclast. My mobility and bad foot pain is greatly improved. I'm happy with the results so far. After a year on Reclast i will most probably do a year of Evenity, then go back on Reclast. That is my Drs plan for me. I do think drinking a lot of water and Gatorade is a good idea, to protect the kidneys, and I think it can lessen any side effects. I read to do this online, my Dr. didn't give any instructions. You have to do your own research for sure. I also checked w/my oral surgeon to make sure area of a previous extraction was healthy. I will probably do Reclast again in a year, and then maybe try Evenity.
