After taking Fosamax and osteoporosis worsening there was no option but to try something new. After the first injection in 2011 I noticed some side effects only a few months later. I did not have any immediate side effects possibly because I drank a lot of water before, during and after the injection. My main concerns were hair loss, nails breaking down and flaking, decreased libido & jaw pain after freezing. After the first year I didn't want to have another injection. My osteoporosis worsened even more in the following 4 years so back on Reclast in 2015 and 2016 and am due for another injection. I researched other medications like Prolia and am scared to take it because of all the horror stories so here I am back on this medication. Its better the devil you know then one you don't. I will let you know how it goes this time around.
