You’re not alone if you feel this way while taking this medication. It’s also linked to strokes but the maker of the drug had no comment on that! | I will NOT be taking this medication again along with any other Proton Punp Inhibitors. I will suffer through the acid reflux and change my diet and use natural remedies. I did some research and found out that ginger/cinnamon/star anise all grounded and boiled in about 4 cups of water is a very effective remedy for Acid Reflux/Esophagitis/GERD. Of course you only need a coffee mug 2 or three times a day. It works wonders. Also Apple Cider Vinegar does the trick. I thank the doctors but sometimes we have to use the herbs/plants that God put here for us. In the Bible days they didn't have nothing in a pill form. Two days later, even if it's not completely back to normal (I still have the heart pounding after eating, but it doesn't last very long) the brain fog and the dizziness are nearly gone. I will deal with the gerd's effects a million times if I can avoid to EVER feel like that again ! While the protonix helped with the acid reflux, I started getting muscle aches and pains and joint pains... this has been a continuous battle and doctors have been "unsure" what is wrong with me...
