| 2 | Mild Depression, Anxiety | At first it was ok. I thought it was working, but over time I realized I was gaining weight. I didnt even think that it could be the meds, but towards the end when I decided I needed to switch I realized that it increased my appetite, so I gained 20lbs over a 4 month period. That wasnt to big of a deal, but then I started getting very short in the tempermant department. I would flip out over nothing, and once in that mood, watch out, there is no return. I felt so mad inside, like a huge ball of rage was just getting bigger and bigger. Oh man, that was awful, and then I would get even more irritated that I was irritated. and I didnt know how to get out of it. But other than that, no other side effects. | The mood swings I couldnt handle. I am now on Effexor which is great for me. I didnt find that the Wellbutrin was helping with depression and all it really did was make me fat. It gave me awful fits of rage, which was not fun for me nor my family. So in my case, it didnt work but I know that it does work for others. I had an increase in appetite with it, now that I am on Effexor I have no appetite at all which is great If I just drink a couple slim fasts a day Ill be all good in the vitamin department. | F | 22 | 4 months | 4/8/2005 | 4 | 8 years | Short term memory loss. Since then I have been having muscle twitches in the corner of my right eye which at first I thought was because of the depakote but after some research I am wondering if it's an interaction thing with the wellbutrin ( I noticed the twitches can be a sideeffect of the wellbutrin but not specifically of the depakote, but it only started since the depakote).
