Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of triamcinolone, especially if it is to be injected near your spine (epidural). Rare but serious side effects may occur with epidural use.  3  Seasonal allergies Nausea, diarrhea, acid reflux It works, but the side effects aren't worth it. I have never experienced side effects like this from any medication! I had no idea what was causing these issues in me until I looked up Nasacort possible side effects and saw that other people had the same problems as me. The side effects I described are absolutely not normal for me; I've only ever had acid reflux as a result of taking meds. F 24 14 days

1  Seasonal Allergies Anxiety, panic attacks (at night), slight depresssion, just not myself, Former aches in joints returned, agitated. I never would have connected the medication to these symptoms. I use allergy medicine in spring and fall and thought it was just the change of seasons. I have used nasacort for a number of allergy seasons and never made the connection, but all went away when I stopped using it. M 48 14 days

3  pet allergies after 5 days of using nasacort i had a tremendous improvement. but on day 6 to day 15 my symptoms came back except my sinus headaches, it kept those away. And i noticed i gained 8lbs in 2 weeks. I also take tramadol for arthritis and the nasacort decreaed the tramadol strength. I am not and will not take nasalcort anymore. I would rather suffer with pet allergies. Thank You to everyone who reviewed nasacort it really helped me!! F 43 15 days

3  Seasonal and year round Allergies Worked Fantastic like no other, But then the side effects kicked in hard in the 3rd week. SEVERE joint pain( to the point of thinking I had arthritis or bone cancer) , overall flu feeling, rashes and general skin itiching, exaustion, Body aches, My index and middle finger are numb from the tips to the middle nuckle on my left hand. Such a bummer because it's the only thing in 30 years that I've found that really works. Back to zyrtec. I hope the nasacort withdrawal symptoms aren't worse than the side effects. M 45 21 days

1  Seasonal allergies Severe anxiety that I didn't immediately connect with taking Nasacort. My doctor prescribed Prozac around the same time and I stopped the Prozac thinking that was what was causing it. Nope. I am fine in the morning till I take the Nasacort and this morning I finally connected the dots and looked it up... and found this. I will never take this stuff again. F 53 21 days

1  Seasonal allergies Worked good at first. After a few weeks I had this awful taste in my mouth then dizzy, hard to breath, Heart racing anxiety, depression bad thoughts and dreams. My doctor made me realize it could be Nasonex never would have thought it would have this awful effect. I may have been taking too much and now I'm paying the price and now realized I had dizzy spells because of it. I didn't see how bad my symptoms were becoming the stuff is dangerous! Never again. Its been 2 days and im slowly improving I think I have withdrawal symptoms from the steroid I can't wait until it's out of my system it's horrible stuff! Should be banned! M 40 21 days

1  allergies No improvement in allergy symptoms. 7 days into treatment developed sinus infection or allergic rhinitis with severe neck pain stiffness 2 days later. Neck pain, fever, bad sleep, throat pain, drainage and inflammation lasted about 2 weeks. Minor Neck pain persists today (1.5 months after stopping treatment) Allergist recommended Nasacort for my son (7), daughter (9), and myself (40) for our allergy symptoms. We all were taking nasacort for 29 days @ 1 spray per nostril kids and I at 2 sprays per nostril (55mcg-per spray). Post nasal drip, runny nose with slight yellow/green discharge, and cough was not resolved in the children over the course of the treatment. However my side effects appeared more severe as noted above. I also had concerns of documented growth rate impacts while on this medication for the children as another reason for stopping early on this medication. M 40 29 days

5  Virus that left me with ear congest Worked well at first, but didn't sleep as well. My doctor had me take 2 sprays each nostril twice a day. Really helped with nasal and ear congestion that resulted from a virus. After 3 weeks, started having nausea and stomach irritation. Today I only took 1 spray in each nostril, because I have to wean off gradually. Also, I had tooth pain . It helped with ear and nasal congestion as a result of a virus. After 3 weeks, I was better , but it had really irritated my stomach. I would recommend trying it, but iam very sensitive to medicines, so I wouldn't be able to use it again. F 68 30 days

2  Nasal Congestion After about day 4, I noticed panic attacks and mood swings. I thought there was NO WAY NASACort could vans these symptoms...but I KNOW it did. Works VERY well on congestion, but the side effects were worse than the benefits. M 45 30 days

2  Non Allergenic Rhinitis Head and ears feel severly plugged.. Sore throat and tightening of the throat with difficulty swallowing. Increased tinnitus and increased loss hearing. Much more success with Beconase mist spary but couldn't afford the $170.00 copay. I was excited to find a less expensive nose spray than beconase. Nasacort is not for me. M 65 30 days

1  Sinusitis I was put on a very large dose by my Dr. due to a sinus infection. He told me that it would not be absorbed into my system so there were no risks of side effects. I started getting really random sore muscles in my rib cage, back and abdomen. I also had very high anxiety and emotions. Because of these side effects, and because the sinus issues were better, I dropped my dosage down to 2 puffs a day from 8 puffs a day. What resulted has been a very scary steroid withdrawal process. I suddenly lost all muscle strength, painful joints, pins and needles, dizziness, and nausea. The prescribing Dr. and my GP did not believe it could be from coming off of the Nasonex, and ordered me all kinds of tests to rule out a bunch of frightening diseases. WIth no answers, I found myself an endocrinologist who told me that I have classic steroid withdrawal symptoms that can very much happen from intranasal steroids. The withdrawal has taken over my life for a month and I'm still not totally off o This drug is probably fine at the recommended dose, or one puff per nostril per day. If you find yourself having random steroid withdrawal symptoms after you discontinue Nasacort (my first was pins and needles in the feet), your doctor will likely not believe that Nasacort could be the cause. Persevere, and find yourself a smart endocrinologist who knows about these things!! F 36 30 days

1  Nasal congestion The first week it actually helped with my congestion. Although I don't take it daily, just when needed, I noticed on the fourth week I took this med I experienced an intense headache for several days in my forehead. Throughout the course of the month I also felt very emotional, (crying for no reason). Come to find out many people like me are sensitive to the steroid in this med and the emotional side effects. I would rather suffer with a stuffy nose than take this med again. F 22 30 days
