1  Seasonal allergies Dizziness, felt like I was in the clouds, loss of appetite, dry throat. It did help with the allergy symptoms for sure but I could not handle the side effects. I would rather suffer with blowing my nose. F 46 7 days

1  ALLERGIES Horrible! Relieved allergy symptoms, but caused anxiety, pain over kidneys, shortness of breath, abdominal bloating, high blood pressure, anger, hair loss, weight gain. Side effects are very common. This steroid DOES enter your system, regardless of what even your Dr. may tell you. Many people have serious side effects that last well after you stop using it. This should not be available over the counter. I've been an RN FOR 33 years. I know what I'm talking about. F 60 7 days

1  Season allergies Light headed, anxiety, panic attacks, disconnection from life and many more horrible side effects. Don’t take this stuff it’s not worth it!!! I’ve almost ended up in the ER for a clear nose? I don’t think so. I hope my system clears this drug out fast because it’s not worth the side effects. F 27 7 days

5  Nasal congestion None! I used Nasacort AQ for nasal congestion and felt relief within the first few hours. I used to use Afrin, and hated the irritation, dry throat, nasty taste, and rebound effect. Nasacort felt clean, fresh, and didn't drip down my throat. I tried other sprays but the alcohol dried out my nose, and I didn't like the way some smelled and tasted. F 32 8 days

1  allergies/plugged sinuses Headaches everyday, extremely sore neck, anxiety and uncontrollable twitching eye lid(probably from the anxiety)and getting worse each day The first day I used this med. it helped me breath much better but as the week has gone on the side effects are overwhelming. I feel like I aged 5 years in the last week and I'm sore all over. The eyelid twitching has gotten out of control. The first few days it would only happen once and hour or so but now it is almost non-stop. I researched this and it says it is most likely caused by stress. HUMMMM... I feel like I have to be doing something at every minute of the day, this must be while I feel like I have uncontrolled anxiety built up. I also have had a non-stop headache since I started taking this medicine to the point that I have to take some extra strenght motrin each day to cope with it. I will stop using this med. and see if I start to feel like myself again. F 36 8 days

1  Doctor recommended for allergies New doctor suggested I switch from Azelatine to OTC Nasacort. After 3 days I experienced extreme hyperness shakiness, racing heart with hot and cold flashes, thought I was having heart attack or bad asthma attack while at work, ambulance took me to ER. Feelings had subsided by then and they couldnt find anything and sent me home. Same thing happened daily with extreme anxiety.. After 15 years at same job I was too afraid to drive on the freeway! Horrible panic attacks and missed 5 days of work. After 9 days of using Nasacort a friend asked if I started any new meds and suggested I stop using this. Next day I had no panic attacks but 2 days later extreme withdrawal symptoms started. Its been a 1.5 wks and still having some morning anxiety. Seeing doctor tomorrow. I will never take this or any other nasal steroid again. Never in my 46 years have I had anxiety issues. I love my job and never afraid to go to work before taking this medication. The anxiety/paranoia side effects are the most horrible thing I've experienced and wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. F 46 9 days

1  Sinus Congestion Blisters bleeding sores in my nose with extremely bad headache and stiff neck. Burning sensation in my throat and chest and anxiety. This was recommended by my doctor to help with sinus congestion from a virus. I stopped it 3 days ago and still have bleeding sores in my nose.  2  Chronic nasal congestion Minor anxiety, serious inhibition of wound healing. It did relieve nasal congestion somewhat, but after 10 days I noticed that some minor cuts on my leg were not healing. After reading that wound healing inhibition is a possible side effect of Nasacort, I stopped using it and the cuts began healing normally. M 71 10 days

1  Sinus/Ear infection Terrible brain fog, to the point I couldn't do a task I've done for years without having to stop and redo it. Headaches. Stomach issues. Metallic taste in mouth. Pins and needles on top of feet. Weight loss. Blood pressure increased while using. The withdrawals are just as bad. Stay far far away from it. M 35 10 days

1  Seasonal allergies Started having weird arrhythmia. Worse in morning and evening. Achy throat, as if muscle pull. Chest tight and difficult to draw deep breath. Irritability. Very acid stomach. I usually use Flonase but have tried nasacort in past, so I picked up a bottle a month ago because it was available. Never again. The light finally went on in my head that the frightening pain in throat and palpitations might be from this stuff. Glad I checked here! Thank you everyone who reported heart trouble with this med, because otherwise I'd never have suspected this could happen. I've had AFib and don't want any more heart trouble. I would never recommend it to anyone. Dangerous garbage. F 67 10 days

5  Allergies Upset stomach/nausea, sleep disruption (trouble falling asleep and waking up after 4-5 hours of sleep) Nasacort works great for its intended purpose, but the side effects outweighed the benefits for me. The nausea and insomnia worsened the longer I took it. F 46 12 days
