Was this doctor right when she prescribed Xarelto to my sister because of a mere phlebitis (due to prolonged inactivity) and a little lump in the safena vein? We live in Brazil. Began Xarelto 20 mg in Jan 2016. Within the next 90 days, I was suffering from debilitating pain randomly in my legs, knees, hips and joints. Oddly, the pain was duplicated on both sides of my body. If my left knee hurt, my right knee hurt. If my left hip hurt, my right hip hurt. I couldn't stand, sit, sleep or even drive a car. My Cardiologist fluffed it off, saying everybody, including himself, has aches and pains. Says none of his other Xarelto patients experience pain as a side effect. My research shows many of us Xarelto patients suffer from extreme pain. My PA suggested, and the Cardiologist agreed, the pain may be caused by the statin drug Crestor. I have been on Crestor for nearly 30 years with absolutely NO side effects. The Cardiologist then suggested I begin 100 mg of CoQ10 2x daily to replenish my body with the ubiquinol that has been depleted by the Crestor. I began the CoQ10 and within three days the pain was subsiding. It's been three weeks of CoQ10 now and I have absolutely NO pain. I am excited that the CoQ10 is an answer for me! I strongly DISAGREE with the Cardiologist that Crestor is the problem - remember, nearly 30 years on Crestor with NO side effects. And then added Xarelto and the pain began almost immediately. Just wish the Cardiologist had listened to me about the pain earlier so I could have found relief more quickly. | If you are a Xarelto patient suffering from leg, knee, hip and joint pain, CoQ10 may not benefit you as well as it has benefited me, but for 30 bucks over the counter at any drug store, I encourage you to consult your doctor and give it a try. | M | 67 | 1 years 20 mg | 2/2/2017 | 2 | atrial fibullation | Dizziness, headaches and brain fog.
