| 1 | DVT on Right leg & rt arm basilic | Beware, after being put on Xarelto I bleed out at a hemoglobin of 4.8 extremely severe anemia. Passed out multiple times and ended up in the emergency room needing 6 pints of blood other doctor's said I would straight out die if I didn't get the blood transfusion. During my cycle I would pass mango sized blood clots and didn't stop bleeding for 3 months straight. I felt extremely lethargic but I thought it was due to me being so anemic. I have always been a smaller-sized female (size 4-6) and was shocked by the weight gain (size 14-16). Neither I nor anyone in my family has ever struggled with weight. My family were shocked and concerned and thought I had some sort of thyroid disorder. My mother stated that my stomach looked as though I were pregnant. Once I switched to warfarin, despite no other changes to diet or exercise, I lost more than 10 pounds each month for 4 months. One year later, I continue to lose the swelling around my face. I can fit back into my heels as my ankles and feet are no longer swollen.
