| 4 | GERD | None now, a bit of headache and diarhea at first. | I took this for over 2 years. My doctor was able to get me samples for this whole time. After this time, I had to get my own. My drug plan didn't cover this, so had to change to Prevacid. However, when I first started Nexium, I had some side-effects. I talked to my doctor about it, and she told me to take it once a day instead of twice. I did fine on that. I think that sometimes people are over medicated, or very sensitive to drugs and don't need as much as the general population. If you are having problems, talk to your doctor AND your pharmacist. Then, for about 7 days now, I have had severe dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, and almost passed out today by only walking around outside for an hour. I have always been in great shape and could run 3 miles 3 days a week with no issues, until all this started that is. I have changed my entire diet to the GERD diet (no OJ, tomato products, caffeine, lots of good foods basically) and that is wonderful so far.
