This is dangerous stuff. I thought I was going to die on Prevacid and Kapidex (chest pains, sweats, nightmares, and distruptive sleep. I think If someone needs to be on a PPI, nexium is the way to go but I understand everyone might react differently to each PPI. Used to take Prevacid, but my insurance will no longer cover it. OTC version was too expensive. Doctor switched me to Nexium. Have been using it for 3 weeks now as it has been helping the esophagitis. Noticed the heart palpitations starting the second day I was on it. I forgot my dosage today and notice that the heart palpitations have stopped. Will see if they return when I take it again tomorrow.
