I would seriously suggest that if you started taking this medication and are experiencing any of these side effects, you check with your doctor immediately. My insurance company wouldn't cover Protonix, which is what I was on prior to the Nexium, until I tried Nexium or Prilosec. They are covering Prontonix now! Research the web for foods that become alkaline in your stomach. Our stomach ph is alkaline. Remember to avoid large quantities of acid producing foods and eat more of the alkaline.
