Previously I have had to sleep and work in an air conditioned room for 9 months of the year (not winter months). I live in central Brisbane in old stuffy Qlder house, but will soon move to Gold Coast fresh sea breezes. Hopefully that will help my condition. I think it would have killed me had I kept on taking it. This drug has been GREAT. I've been taking this for four months now (one puff in each nostril 1x a day). Eliminated these problems almost completely (knock on wood). I've noticed I've had some loss of sense of smell but nothing i can't live with. Not a bad tradeoff. I have discontinued the drug for 3 days now and still fell lousy, but a little better. None of the doctors I saw (allergist, ENT, cariologist, psychiatrist, general physician) attributed the cause to Nasonex, but it was the only constant external influence common to the episodes. Now, after seeing the other comments here, I have stopped using Nasonex, and all of my symptoms have disappeared. Yes, I have to deal with my chronically runny nose, but it is better than the side effects of this drug. Like others on this blog, I experienced "heaviness in the chest", weight gain, anxiety, depression and rapid heart beats. Doctors and the drug company itself (at least by the list of side effects listed on the packaging) don't recognize (or admit) that Nasonex is a STEROID and as such comes with all of the adverse effects therein. | F | 49 | 3 years | 10/5/2008 | 1 | allergies | 4 migraine headaches in 10 days. The literature that comes with Nasonex doesn't say a thing about palpitations. I was told by my doctors to cut out alcohol and caffeine, but that didn't help at all.
