The RN that I spoke with stated, "these are NOT symptoms of a reaction but of a UTI." (I had no UTI symptoms but my urine culture was positive.) I asked her about the dry heaves & again she said "nope" & that a reaction would be buring skin. I feel like a fool but I continued with the Macrobid. By now I'm convinced I've contracted Covid because all my symptoms are the hallmark or this virus so first thing Monday morning I make arrangements for a Covid test. Monday night the rash stated on my lower legs. I called urology office first thing Tuesday AM & the nurse stated to STOP the Macrobid immediately. Thank goodness I had not taken my AM dose. At 5:00pm my GP called & said my Covid test was negative. I'm writing this at 10:00pm Tuesday & feel so much better.
